Fourth kingdom: "little horn" (Daniel 7:8; 8:9)
Daniel 7:7 "After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns."
There were three other beasts before the fourth beast. The word “diverse” is where the Bible makes the distinction between the fourth beast and the three other beasts that were before it, and so in that sense, there is that pattern of the number 13 embedded here i.e. 4 = 1 + 3. As you my readers may have read in many of my posts, this is a number pattern that will often show up in Bible passages.
Daniel 7:8 "I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things."
So, we read in verse 7 that the beast had ten horns, the number 10 being a reference to the Law, the Ten Commandments. Out of these 10 horns came up “another little horn”, before whom THREE of the FIRST horns were plucked up by the roots (pattern 10 - 3 = 7). So, instead of 10, there would be 7 of the first horns left on the beast. Contrast this with:
Revelation 1:4 "John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;"
Notice the seven Spirits are BEFORE the throne of God? Likewise, seven of the first horns were BEFORE that little horn.
Revelation 4:5 "And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God."
Revelation 4:5 tells us that the seven lamps of fire burning before the throne of God are the seven Spirits of God, and we read about the golden candlestick in Exodus 25:31-40 and Exodus 37:17-24, which is made of one beaten work of pure gold, symbolizing seven Spirits of God in one “Holy Spirit” (7 times in KJV). The phrase "Spirit of God" (case-sensitive) is found exactly 22 times in the 1611 King James Bible.
Isaiah 11:2 gives us the seven Spirits of God: "And
the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,
the spirit of wisdom and
understanding,
the spirit of counsel and
might,
the spirit of knowledge and of
the fear of the LORD;"
But also notice that the chapter and the verse number 11 and 2 makes the number 22. Matthew 3:16, Mark 1:10, Luke 3:22 and John 1:32 tell us that the Spirit of God descended like a "dove" (a dove has 2 wings that are patterned like the number 2 - makes 22) upon Jesus i.e. seven spirits of God in one Holy Spirit came upon Jesus.
Revelation 1:12-13 "And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle."
John saw in his vision seven golden candlesticks, and in the midst of the seven candlesticks is one like the Son of man (Jesus Christ).
Revelation 1:20 "The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."
John further reveals to us that the seven candlesticks are the seven churches. At this point, I would like my readers to make a distinction between the candlesticks and the flame on top of the candlesticks. Revelation 4:5 tells us that the “seven lamps of fire” burning before the throne is the seven Spirits of God. The fire is not the candlestick: it is the flame on top of the candlestick. Throughout the many examples in the Bible, we will find verses such as this one:
Judges 6:34 "But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi–ezer was gathered after him."
The Spirit of the LORD is upon a born again believer, just like how the seven lamps of fire is upon the seven churches. Notice in Revelation 1:13 that Jesus Christ was in the midst of the seven churches, making the number 8. This would be the same as the “little horn” of Daniel 7:8 that came up among the ten horns before whom three were plucked up by the roots, making the number 8. Daniel 7:8 also gave some details about that "little horn" with eyes like "the eyes of man" (found 3 times in KJV i.e. 3 = 1 x 3) and a mouth "speaking great things".
Daniel 7:25 "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."
This "little horn" shall speak "great words" against the most High. In Revelation 13 i.e. pattern of the number 13 again:
Revelation 13:5-6 "And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven."
This is the same "little horn" that spake great words against the LORD in Daniel 7:25, and think to “change times and laws”. The Devil is constantly about change, because "change" is what he needs in order to bring about the fourth kingdom upon the earth. According to Revelation 13:5, dominion shall be given him over the saints of the most High for 42 months, that is, according to Daniel 7:25 "a time and times and the dividing of time".
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
Recall in Daniel 7:8 "... in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things." Paul calls this "little horn" in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 the "man of sin", who shall oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God (Father, Word and Holy Ghost - 1 John 5:7), and he wants to sit in the "temple of God" (1 Corinthians 3:16), which is our 46-chromosomes body, shewing himself that he is God.
John 2:19-21 "Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20 Then said the Jews, forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body."
Notice the pattern of the number 46 in this passage, referring to the temple of God, which is our body? This is the temple that the "man of sin" wants to take possession of, so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. So, does it surprise you that everything that has been happening since the beginning of history is culminating towards the "fourth kingdom"?
Daniel 2:43 "And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."
We are all formed out of "miry clay", and according to this verse, they shall "mingle themselves with the SEED OF MEN". The word "seed" is a reference to our DNA. Therefore, it certainly does not come as a surprise the amount of resources that has been invested in the areas of genetic engineering, vaccination, GMO etc.
Daniel 7:23 "Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces."
The fourth beast shall be the “fourth kingdom” upon the earth, and it shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down and break it in pieces. This has all along been the Devil's plan to bring about his "fourth kingdom" upon the earth. The man of sin would be the physical manifestation of the Devil on earth exerting rule over mankind in the fourth kingdom, as opposed to Jesus Christ who is the physical manifestation of God on earth, the Saviour of mankind.
