Our daily walk with God
Someone in my facebook page commented that it is not important whether or not it is the pre-tribulation rapture, the post-tribulation (pre-wrath) rapture or the post-tribulation (post-wrath) rapture, but that our daily walk with God is the most important. Previously, I did cover on this topic with a post titled “Does it matter how you believe the rapture is going to happen?” Today, I would like to talk about our daily walk with God. What is “walking with God?”
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Our daily walk with God must begin with "the way." Jesus is "the way," but he is also "the truth." One cannot be decoupled from the other. So, to walk in "the way," it must necessarily be knowledge of “the way” according to scripture.
Proverbs 6:23 "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
“The way of life” begins with knowledge of God’s commandment and God’s law (the truth). Apart from "the truth," we cannot see "the way" because it is “the truth” the illuminates “the way,” and without knowledge of "the way," there is no eternal life.
Matthew 7:13-14 "¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
According to Jesus, "the way" is a strait and narrow way, and few there be that find it. Just like "the truth:" It is either "the truth," or it's not "the truth." It is either "the way," or it's not "the way." It is either the pre-tribulation rapture or it's not the pre-tribulation rapture. If it’s not “the truth,” then it’s not “the way” to God. There is no in-between, and every word of God is the way to God.
Ephesians 4:14 "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;"
What saith the LORD? What saith the 66 books of the Holy Bible? In our daily walk with God, this should be the kind of questions we should be asking when someone comes to us with a doctrine, because it is going to land us on a journey that will either take us to the wide gate and broad way that leadeth to destruction (and many there be which go in thereat), or the strait gate and narrow way which leadeth unto life (and few there be that find it). If it’s not “the truth,” then it’s not “the way of life,” and we ought to repent and go back to the word of God for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
