This post continues from where I have left off at Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 23), where I have further discussed from scripture the identity of the strange woman in the book of Proverbs as a body of knowledge. She is the collective wisdom of men that is earthly, sensual and devilish. She is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden, as opposed to the “wisdom that is from above” (James 3:17) which is the “tree of life” according to Proverbs 3:18. Both are women figures in the book of Proverbs. James tells us in:
James 1:14-15 "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."
Isn’t it interesting that James used the biological terms of reproduction to describe “lust?” It is to be noted that the serpent spoke exactly 46 words to the woman Eve, in the language of the 1611 King James Bible:
Genesis 3:1-5 "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?… Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." [Count: 46 words]
We all have exactly 46 chromosomes in our genetic makeup. Isn’t that a picture of an evil seed in the form of “enticing words” (Colossians 2:4) sown by the serpent in the heart of the woman Eve, which tempted her, and resulted in the conception of sin — that man of sin, the son of perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2:3? That was also James by inspiration of the Holy Ghost telling us that “lust” is the mother of sin, which is to say, we sin because of the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life, as John has pointed out:
1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
These three things connect to what happened to the woman Eve in Genesis 3:6, after she was tempted by the serpent, and she took from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, when she saw that the tree was “good for food” (lust of the flesh), and that it was “pleasant to the eyes” (lust of the eyes), and a tree to be desired to “make one wise” (pride of life). Sin was conceived by the lusts in her:
Psalms 34:2 "My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad."
This verse tells us that the soul is of a female gender. Moreover, the soul will lust after earthly things according to Deuteronomy 12:15 “thy soul lusteth after” and some other verses.
That goes to show that Eve was a figure of the soul of man, the soul being female. It was the soul lusting after earthly things, as represented by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that gave birth to sin. That’s why the bible tells us in Ezekiel 18:4; 18:20 that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
1 Peter 2:11 "Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;"
Peter tells us that fleshy lusts will war against the soul, for it was fleshly lusts that caused the woman Eve to sin against God in Genesis 3. Of course, it was the physical body which committed the sin, and for that reason, the punishment was bodily death according to Genesis 2:17. However, it was also the soul that sinneth, and for that reason, God gave us his only begotten Son.
Psalms 34:22 "The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate."
It was the soul of men that Jesus came to redeem, not the physical body, and the soul being of the female gender is just like the church of Jesus Christ:
Ephesians 5:23 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body."
Paul tells us in this verse that Christ is the head of the church, and the church is the “body” of Christ. Moreover, the church is also as the “wife” to the husband, which is the head of the body. Paul further revealed in this verse that the church is the “manifold wisdom of God:”
Ephesians 3:10 "To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,"
The church is the manifold wisdom of God. This connects back to “the wisdom that is from above” in James 3:17, which then points us back to the woman figure by the name of “wisdom” in the book of Proverbs. She is the “body of Christ” as mentioned in:
1 Corinthians 12:27 "Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular."
Paul tells us that the church is the “body of Christ,” which is to say, the church is the congregation of the soul of every born again believer in the body of Christ. That’s why of all the people in the world, we only see the preaching of the word through the church of born again believers, calling sinners to repentance, even as “wisdom” in the book of Proverbs crieth without and uttereth her voice in the streets, saying:
Proverbs 1:22-23 "How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you."
That is the “voice of the bride,” (Jeremiah 16:9; 33:11) the body of Christ, preaching a message of repentance to the “simple ones.” Verse 23 also tells us that she will pour out her spirit unto the them and make known her words unto them. In fact, that is what soul-winning should be about. The goal of soul-winning should NOT be to get someone pray the sinner's prayer, or make him feel guilty of what he has done (emotionalism). It is the job of the church to make known the words of the LORD to a sinner, and let the law of the LORD do the conversion according to Psalms 19:7. The adversary of the church is the strange woman in the book of Proverbs. She too, has a body.
1 Corinthians 6:15 "Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid."
Again, Paul tells us in this passage of scripture that every born again believer is a member of the body of Christ. But then, there is also that mention of the term “members of an harlot.” That is a reference to the strange woman in the book of Proverbs. She is a harlot, and she is also the body of sinners. Connect this to:
Romans 6:6 "Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin."
The strange woman is the “body of sin” in this verse. Paul tells us in this verse that even born again believers once belonged to the body of sin, that is, until our old man is crucified with Jesus Christ. The body of sin is to serve sin. That’s why when a person was born again, after he was translated from the body of sin to the body of Christ, he has no more desire to serve sin. We also have a second witness in this verse:
Ephesians 2:2 "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"
Paul tells us that every born again believer started off in life walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air that worketh in the children of disobedience. We all used to belong to the body of sin. We all used to be members of the harlot serving sin, until God saved us. At that point, we were translated from being members in the body of sin to members in the body of Christ, so that sin no longer has a hold on us.
Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
The strange woman is the body of that man of sin, the son of perdition in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, and it is through this “body” that that man of sin, the son of perdition is working to eradicate the Spirit of the LORD that is withholding him. BTW, Romans is the 6th book of the New Testament, and so Romans 6:6 “body of sin” bears the pattern of the number 666. The body of sin is that mystery of iniquity, in:
2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 "And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"
As I have mentioned above, the purpose of the body of sin is to serve sin. This is just like the church of the living God which purpose is to serve the God of the Holy Bible. That’s why Paul tells us in verse 7 that “the mystery of iniquity doth already work.” It is the body of sin guided by the collective wisdom of men at work according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.
John 3:8 “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
The church of the living God is comprised of men and women from all walks of life, from different places and different times, wherever the word of God goes to, the body of Christ being the gathering together of every born again believer from “many nations” (Genesis 17:5) saved by the same gospel of grace. Where the word is sown, when it is sown, and how it is sown, it is a mystery to us. The body of sin too, is the gathering of sinners from all walks of life from every nation in one body. Link this back to the tower of babel:
Genesis 11:6 "And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do."
The people is one and they all have one language, just like how God’s people is called to be “likeminded:”
Philippians 2:2 "Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."
When the people is one and speak one language: having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind, nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do. The people being one because they speak the same language. Words are the physical form of a spirit: invisible but discernible. The people at Babel not only spoke the same language, but they were also of one accord and of one mind, having the same love. There is power in unity. When people think and act in one body, nothing will be restrained from them which they imagine to do. That’s the idea of a “One World Order,” which goes to show what the “mystery of iniquity” is working to accomplish. She is working to undo what God has done at Babel in Genesis 11:7-9, and the goal is to gather in one body what God has scattered. When the people is one, nothing will be restrained from them which they have imagined to do. To continue in Part 25.
