Testimony - How God delivered me from the Singapore government's 'No Jab No Job'
"Since this was a religious decision as I have told you before, it cannot be changed."
I’ve been waiting for this day, 04/22/2022, to release my testimony, and finally it came. This was a testimony I have written some time ago, but have not had the courage to share it with others publicly, well, except for a few, and that is related to the 'No Jab No Job' that the Singapore government has implemented 15-Jan this year, which imposed restrictions on the vax-free from entering their workplace. Yes, it has hit me as well, as some of you might know, and my wife was also affected. So, to us, today is an extremely meaningful day not only because it is the day that our amazing renovation contractor has officially handed over to us our new home, it is also a day that the Singapore government announced the end of the ‘No Jab No Job’ for Singaporeans who won’t undergo the COVID19 gene therapy.
Let me begin by saying that I work for an American MNC making semiconductor equipment, and my role in the company is a Software Technical Support. This was the same job that God has put me back, as I have shared in my Testimony of Repentance Part 3. Since I rejoined the company, I've been working there for close to 5 years, and God has been good to provide. I have no lack.
I left the company for Australia in 2016, and after I've returned to Singapore, and exactly 10 months without a job, I was miraculously hired back to the same company, but under a different organization. Between late 2017 and early 2018, my company was bought over by another company, and a massive retrenchment exercise quickly ensues. The organization that I used to work with was made redundant, and my ex-boss and ex-colleagues in that team were let go. However, I was not affected because now I was working in a different organization. Imagine that if I had not moved to Australia and came back, I would have been among those that have been axed. I thank the LORD that I was saved by a hair's breadth!
Isaiah 55:8-9 "¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
The massive retrenchment exercise that took place in about 5 cycles over a period of close to 1 year has reduced my company's staff strength from 80+ people to a paltry 30+ people. In each cycle of retrenchment, the announcements from our top executives have struck fear in each and every one of us. Me too, was left lingering in a state of uncertainty. My only consolation was the words of the LORD in the 66 books the Holy Bible.
Joshua 1:8-9 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
I am a Software Technical Support by profession, and my job was to frequently travel out of Singapore to support my customers on software related issues. Between 2018 and mid 2019, the product line that I was supporting wasn't doing well despite the amount of resources invested into R&D and other things, and at the end of it they decided to sell the product line to another company, along with the technical expertise which would be transferred to that company, but sadly I wasn’t selected to go. Therefore, it seems like my fate was to be retrenched, and I was only waiting for that fateful day, but that day never came.
What happened was that during the 10 months I was looking for a job between end 2016 and mid 2017, I had taken a 3-days course in Python programming using my SkillFutures credit. When I was re-hired back to the company, I started to put that knowledge to good use, and my director started to notice it. He came from a software background, and he could appreciate the things that I did. So, I didn't lose my job but instead I was transferred to support another product line. But then came another re-organization exercise, and I was actually poised to be let go. However, my director defended me but in return, I would be transferred to do hardware support, something which I don't enjoy and not really good at, but I thank God for it, and did not seek to redress it. While waiting to be trained, I continued my role as a Software Technical Support.
Then, came early 2019, and the product line that I was supporting clinched a deal from a major semiconductor company in Taiwan, and I was sent to support a fellow-colleague on software issues. It was during that time that I had a chance to put my Python programming knowledge to good use, and I managed to develop a software application that would become the foundation of other greater things that would come out of it. Despite my achievement, it did not change my bosses' minds to want to transfer me to do hardware.
So, by December 2020, they sent me to Taiwan to be attached to the field service team, hoping that by the end of it, I would be officiated to become a Hardware Technical Support. Then it so happened that the colleague that was supporting software issues in Taiwan suddenly resigned in Jan 2021, and my bosses have no choice but to put me back to doing software support. They stationed me in Taiwan for the longest period of time in 2021. During this period, I kept making improvements to the software application, up to the point that it was recognized by the company as a common tool that found use not only in my own department, but across other departments as well.
In the course of things, I've made a name for myself in the company as a Python expert, and even the Software Engineering senior director has sought me for advice and got me involved in his projects. However, that did not prevent my own bosses from still wanting to transfer me to do hardware support. They even sent me to US California for hardware training sometime in October last year, and after this training, I would officially be transferred to become a Hardware Technical Support.
Then came the 'No-Jab-No-Job' announcement by our government. It hits me, and I have been hinted by my manager that if I choose to remain vax-free, the company could no longer keep me, especially now that I will be transferred to do hardware, and entering into the customers’ premises is a MUST. In fact, previously he had also hinted at me in a softer tone, but I told him that I would never go for the jab, but that was before the 'No Jab No Job' announcement by our masonic government. Now that the government has announced it, it boldens him to apply pressure on me.
During that time, I was still undergoing hardware training in California when he approached me. I was devastated and afraid, but that did not change my mind about the gene-altering jabs. I replied to him calmly, saying: "Since this was a religious decision as I have told you before, it cannot be changed." My manager was taken aback as though he didn't expect that kind of reaction from me. So, he told me he needed to speak to my director, and we left the conversation. Then, I was left alone and shaking - not knowing what the outcome would be, but perceiving the worst to come. I couldn't sleep the whole night, and was crying alone. I couldn't bear to break this news to my wife. I was worried for my family and how we should continue to survive in Singapore as vax-free.
I intreated God for his favour, that this cup should pass from me. I couldn't sleep, and was praying the whole night in tears and in sorrow. Then came the morning, and quite unexpectedly, I received an email from the boss of my director. I was afraid to read that email, but knowing that I had to face the music sooner or later, I opened it to read what he had to say.
Daniel 6:22 "My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt."
He wrote a lot in that email, but in essence, he said that the company valued me as a talent, and I could remain as a Software Technical Support working from home. When I read that, I couldn't believe my own eyes, and I had to read it again to make sure that I did not get the wrong message. Not too long after that, my manager followed up with an official memo to inform me that I will continue as a Software Technical Support working from home, and I need not enter the office. I was overjoyed! God delivered me from the mouths of the lions again! Not only that, but I could continue my role as a Software Tech Support, and not be transferred to do Hardware. Halleluiah! Praise the LORD! Praise the God of the Holy Bible - the 1611 King James Bible!!
Your courage and belief in Yahuah Elohim encourages me! I knew of brothers having the same stand but was asked to leave. In the end, the outcomes are not the most important ones but rather one’s obedience and submission to the One True God- the God of Israel. Keep on sharing as you have a powerful testimony
You deserve that achievement reward and so much more for your great testimony of the goodness and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus, and for standing strong in your faith in Him my brother. Thank you for sharing your testimony, God bless you 🙏❤️
