The circle of the earth
Isaiah 40:22 "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain...
Compare these two verses:
Job 41:27 "He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood."
Isaiah 40:18-20 "¶ To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? 19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. 20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved."
Rotten wood are trees that have rotten. In this, the Bible tells us that iron and brass are trees that will not rot. This is the reason why iron and brass are used to make graven images, because they don’t rot like wood. Wood is an organic material. It is common knowledge that wood came from from trees, which in turn came from seeds.
Jeremiah 31:27 "¶ Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast."
Daniel 2:43 "And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."
Just like men and beasts, trees reproduce using eggs and sperm. Of course, they don't have physical intercourse. Male plants release pollen, which fertilize ovaries. The fertilized ovaries develop into seeds, which can then be sown on good fertile grounds to produce more identical duplicates of the same trees. In fact, Jesus compares men to trees (Matthew 7:15-20). Our physical body is flesh and bones, just like how wood is the physical substance of trees.
Romans 1:23 "And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things."
Just like wood, our physical body is corruptible (will rot). In fact, this is Apostle Paul connecting back to Isaiah 40:18 by inspiration of the Holy Ghost “To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him?” Unlike men and beasts, God is incorruptible (will not rot). Isaiah continues…
Isaiah 40:19-20 "The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. 20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved."
This was the men (impoverished of understanding) using iron and brass as substitute for the incorruptible substance that God is consist of, and the Bible calls it “a tree that will not rot”. They have changed “the glory of the uncorruptible God” into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. This is also Paul telling us what “a tree that will not rot” is, and that is, “the glory of the uncorruptible God”.
Exodus 24:17 "And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel."
Deuteronomy 4:24 "For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God."
Hebrews 12:29 "For our God is a consuming fire."
1 John 1:5 "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."
Here, in a multitude of faithful witnesses, the Bible tells us that God is fire and light, and in him is no darkness at all. In fact, that was the reason why in Isaiah 40:19 the goldsmith spreadeth gold all over the graven image which they have likened God to. They were trying to imitate fire and light!
Psalms 148:3 "Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light."
Deuteronomy 4:19 "And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven."
Deuteronomy 17:3 "And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;"
When taken together, these verses tells us that the sun, the moon and all the stars of light are collectively known as “the host of heaven“. Moreover, Deuteronomy 4:19 and 17:3 also tell us that the host of heaven are little-g gods.
Psalms 82:6-7 "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes."
Luke 20:36 "Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection."
The psalmist tells us in Psalms 82:6-7 that the little-g gods are “children of the most High”, and they are immortals, but they shall die like men. Jesus tells us in Luke 20:36 that born again believers shall be equal unto the angels, and they shall not die anymore, being the children of God (little-g gods).
Job 38:7 "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?"
Job calls the morning stars (host of heaven) “the sons of God” in this verse.
Revelation 22:16 "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."
Jesus referred to himself as “the bright and morning star”.
Isaiah 14:12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
Lucifer (Satan) was also called “son of the morning”, and he was a “son of God”.
Job 1:6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them."
Job 2:1 "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD."
Satan was an angelic being and notice he was among the other sons of God who came to present themselves before the LORD. The word “among” implies that Satan possess like qualities as the other sons of God.
Genesis 6:1-4 "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown."
This passage tells us that “the sons of God“ (stars, gods, host of heaven) saw that the daughters of men were beautiful and they took them wives all of which they chose. As a result of their union, giants were born unto them, and the Bible is clear that there were giants before and after the great flood of Genesis. Goliath himself was descended from giants (2 Samuel 21:19; 1 Chronicles 20:5), which in turn came from the sons of God and the daughters of men.
Luke 2:13-15 "And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us."
The “sons of God” who took wives of the daughters of men were angels (heavenly host).
Acts 7:41-43 "And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. 42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? 43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon."
This is a passage connecting back to Deuteronomy 4:19 and 17:3 whereby the children of Israel were warned against worshipping “the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven”. Notice in verse 43 the words “the star of your god Remphan”? Those were the angels, the little-g gods, the sons of God that the children of Israel turned to worship instead of the one and true God.
Psalms 104:4 "Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:"
Hebrews 1:7 "And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire."
Angels are spirits and a flaming fire. The sons of God are just like God himself which the Bible describes as a “consuming fire” (Deuteronomy 4:24; Hebrews 12:9). The multitude of Bible verses I’ve shared in this post tell us that our physical eyes can behold the sun, the moon and the stars of heaven, and the children of Israel were driven to worship them.
Going back to Isaiah 40:19-20 whereby they use iron and brass as substitute for the incorruptible substance that God is consist of, and Paul told us that they have changed “the glory of the uncorruptible God” (Romans 1:23) into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things, the next verse tells us:
Isaiah 40:21 "Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?"
This verse is undoubtedly a reference to Creation "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." (Genesis 1:1). The sun, the moon and the stars were made on the fourth day of Creation:
Genesis 1:14-18 "¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good."
Collectively, the sun, the moon and the stars were called the “lights in the firmament of the heaven”, and earlier, we have established from a multitude of bible verses that these are the “host of heaven”, angelic beings, little-g gods or otherwise known as “the sons of God”. Deuteronomy 4:19 and 17:3 tells us that our physical eyes can see them and Acts 7:41-43 tells us that the children of Israel worshipped these little-g gods, and one of them which name was Remphan. Psalms 104:4 and Hebrews 1:7 also tell us that these are spirits and flames of fire.
The sun is a ball of flaming fire, and it is also among the host of heaven. Notice the circle of the sun in this picture? Likewise, the moon and all the stars of heaven also have a circle about them and they emit light.
Isaiah 40:22-23 "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: 23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity."
Isaiah 40:22 tells us that God sits upon the “circle of the earth”. This passage is also the Bible telling us that the “glory of the uncorruptible God” (Romans 1:23) is upon the surface of whole earth, even as God has set the lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth (Genesis 1:15-17).
Note: Image of earth from outer space.
1 Corinthians 15:40-41 "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory."
The sun, and the moon and the stars also have their own glory, and the glory of one star differeth from another star. Moreover, they are not the same as the “glory of the uncorruptible God” (Romans 1:23), which Paul compares to “a tree that will not rot” (Isaiah 40:20), and this is the very substance of God.
Luke 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
Wood came from a seed. The substance of a tree that will not rot came from the incorruptible word of God.
Psalms 119:105 "נ (NUN).Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."
Proverbs 6:23 "For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:"
These two verses tells us that word of God, the 66 books of the Holy Bible, is light.
John 1:9 "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world."
John 9:5 "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
Jesus is the Word (John 1:1) and the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." (Matthew 5:14). Every born again believer is also a light of the world.
1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
The “new man” in every born again believer came from the incorruptible seed of the word of God (light). Their substance is not as iron and brass, but a tree that will not rot. That is the reason why born again believers have eternal life.
1 Corinthians 15:43-44 "It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body."
In time to come, born again believers will inherit a glorious spiritual body, and the body of Christ is the congregation of every born again believer — the church.
Psalms 139:16 "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."
The substance of the “new man” came from the word of God which is present in every born again believer, as much as faith is a copy of the word of God sown in an honest and good heart. In the day that you believed in the words of the Lord, this substance call “faith” is still being unperfect. That is to say, the members of the “new man” were in continuance being fashioned, like unto a seed which when sown, must go through the stages of growth and eventually becomes a tree. Every tree started off in an unperfected form as a seed.
Psalms 139:16 tells us that the members of our body are written in a book. Our DNA is a book. Within our DNA is a set of written instructions that would determine the physical characteristics of our body: how we would grow from a single cell, the cell duplicates itself, the cells duplicate themselves, and they began to spread out and form different members of our body.
In the case of a born again believer, the "seed" contains the genetic information of how our "new man" would develop into the image of Jesus Christ ("the Word of God"). Therefore, every member of the body of Christ is given the title "son of God", even as Jesus Christ is the "Son of God". Likewise, this verse is equally applicable to the body of Christ which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Every member in the body of Christ came from the same word of God (seed). They are of the same spiritual DNA.
Romans 2:28-29 "For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."
The golden candlestick (Exodus 37:17-24) consist of 7 lamps and 22 sets of 3 items: bowls, knops and flowers, making a total of 66 items. 66 is the number of books in the canonical volume of the Holy Bible! Notice the pattern of Pi (π) embedded in the configuration of the candlestick? The number π is a mathematical constant. It is used in the derivation of any mathematical equations that defines a circle in one form or another. The approximate value of π is 3.14 or 22/7.
1 Samuel 4:21 "And she named the child I–chabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband."
Inside the ark of God was the word of God, and so, when the ark of God was taken, the glory of the Lord was departed from Israel. Therefore, the word of God is the “glory of the uncorruptible God” (Romans 1:23) upon the face of the whole earth, and it can actually be seen and understood by men.
Romans 1:20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"
Genesis 9:13 "I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth."
The glory of the Lord is the presence of “he” (Jesus Christ) that sitteth upon the circle of the earth as a “bow in the cloud”. Rainbows are comprised of 7 colours and are actually circular in pattern. Circular rainbows are seen all the time — not by floating people but by passengers flying in airplanes.
