"The LORD is a man of war" (Exodus 15:3)
Exodus 15:3 "The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name."
The name of the God of the Holy Bible is "the LORD". The colon sign in this verse explains why the God of the Holy Bible is called "the LORD" i.e. because he is a "man of war." Therefore, when we call upon the LORD, we are actually calling upon God as the "man of war" to fight our battles for us, both great and small.
Psalms 37:39-40 "But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him."
The LORD is the strength of every born again believer in the time of trouble. The LORD is a man of war who fights battles. He shall help them, and deliver them because they trust in him.
Psalms 70:1 "Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD."
Psalms 70:5 "But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying."
Such are the pleas of born again believers to the God of the Holy Bible (the LORD) for help.
Psalms 55:16 "As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me."
Psalms 99:6 "Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them."
Born again believers know to call upon the name of God, and the LORD shall deliver them out of all their troubles. He is their God and the LORD who fights the battles for them. The LORD will answer their pleas for help.
Romans 10:12-13 "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
The God of the Holy Bible is the same LORD over all, both the Jew and the Greek, and he will deliver them the same, whosoever shall call upon his name - Jesus Christ.
Matthew 1:21 "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

Luke 2:11 "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Jesus is "Christ the Lord" because he is the LORD, the man of war who fights the battles for every born again believer, and shall save them from their sins. He is the God of the Holy Bible, the same LORD of the Old Testament saints who heard the pleas of the poor and the needy and delivered them out of all their troubles.
