This post was made on May-7-2022 on my facebook page, and I was thinking about the "Roe vs Wade". It's an amazing thing how God can work wonders in spite of and especially under the reign of a wicked and corrupt government. How come? Because God is God, and there is NOT a force in heaven above or the earth beneath that can prevent his will from being done.
Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Not only that, but God is not a man that he should work to get something done. He only needed to speak and the word that goeth forth out of his mouth will accomplish that which he pleaseth. The word of God is the will of God in written form. Just like the written law, it has power.
Ecclesiastes 8:4 "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?"
In fact, there is only one rule that God goes by, and that is by the words that he hath spoken. God's actions cannot depart from his holy word, not by one jot or one tittle.
Matthew 5:18 "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
Today, we have the words of the LORD preserved for us in the 66 books of the Holy Bible. God was one who has preserved his words according to:
Psalms 12:6-7 "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
The word of God is an amazing book, because it is the eternal truth and cannot contain a single speck of error. Today, the words of the living God have been interpreted for us in the 1611 King James Bible. The King James Bible is every word of God translated for us in the English language. If God was the one who preserved his words, then he was also the one who translated his words for us.
The 1611 King James Bible is NOT the same as the NIV, NKJV, ESV, NASB or the NLT, all of which were translated from a different and corrupt manuscript. There are many who thinks that every bible version is the same because churches all over Singapore are teaching that there are no fundamental differences between them.
John 5:39 "¶ Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
Well, if you still insist that they are the same, please do yourself a favour and go compare them verse by verse. If you have the heart of a born again believer, an "honest and good heart" (Luke 8:15), you will admit that there is a difference, and not only that, but you will also repent from your error because you have the love of the truth.
2 Thessalonians 2:10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."
Without the "love of the truth," one cannot be saved. That's why only those with an "honest and good heart" (Luke 8:15) are capable of being saved.
John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
John 8:36 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
These verses connect back to John 1:1 where we read that the Word was God. Jesus is the Word of God and he is also the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6). Therefore to know Jesus is to know the truth, and the truth is that which shall save a person’s soul. It is not by a man's mortal knowledge that he is saved, but by the knowledge of the eternal truth that he is saved, and the immortal truth cannot contain a single speck of error, otherwise, it is no longer Jesus, and it is no longer the everlasting truth.
