What is the will of God concerning marriage?
Mark 10:2 "And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him."
Notice the words "tempting him" at the end of this verse? The Pharisees were tempting the Lord Jesus Christ, because they already knew what was in the law concerning divorcement.
Mark 10:3 "And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?"
Jesus knew their thoughts.
Mark 10:4 "And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away."
Notice the words "Moses suffered?" Why did Moses suffer to write a bill of divorcement, as though it is against the will of God for a man to put his wife away?
Mark 10:5 "And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept."
Jesus explained it perfectly: "For the hardness of your heart…" That's why Moses suffered for a man to write a bill of divorcement to put his wife away. It is not the will of God for a man to put his wife away. Rather, a man should deal with the hardness of his heart than to put his wife away.
Mark 10:6 "But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female."
Everything must go back to Genesis.
Mark 10:7-8 "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh."
This is the will of God concerning marriage, that a man shall leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife, and they twain shall be “one flesh.” Can a man therefore divorce himself from his own body?
Mark 10:9 "What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder."
What God hath join together, let no man put asunder. The bill of divorcement is man's way of putting the will of God concerning marriage asunder. It is not the will of God for a man to put his wife away.
Everything goes back to Genesis. Original intent. It’s foundational for our understanding of Yahweh. There’s such a satanic work to undermine the book of Genesis.
