Vain Words - Modern Bible Versions Exposed
Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
Notice, "to go after other gods to serve them" is to "go aside from ANY of the words which I command thee..." Of course, "the words" means the words of the LORD or the commandment of God. To turn to the commandments of men is to reject the commandment of God.
Exodus 20:3 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
Paul warns in Ephesians 5:6:
"Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."
Moses added more details in Deuteronomy 11:16:
"Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;"
According to Deuteronomy 28:14, to "go aside from ANY of the words which I command thee..." is to turn to "vain words", and to do so is to go after "other gods" and to serve them. To go after other gods and to serve them is to deny the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jude 1:4 "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."
False prophets and false teachers teach with "vain words". Their ministry is in turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness. That's why Paul warns in Ephesians 5:6 "Let no man deceive you with vain words...", because to go aside from ANY of the words of the LORD is to reject the written Word, and to reject the written Word is to deny the living God.
Deuteronomy 8:3 "... that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live."
Matthew 4:4 "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
Luke 4:4 "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God."
Indeed, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. The 66 books of the Holy Bible is every word of God. "And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written...", and the Devil had to leave him. There is something about the pure word of God, full of faith and power, that even devils cannot resist.
The King James Bible is the only truly accurate English translation. For centuries, it is hated by the Roman Catholic hierarchy. Tried as they might, however, the Roman Catholic Church could not destroy the line of Bibles leading up to the King James Bible (1611). So in their zeal to destroy the pure word of God, they "suborned men":
Acts 6:10-11 "And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. 11 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God."
"Suborn" (Webster’s Dictionary 1828):
In law, to procure a person to take such a false oath as constitutes perjury.
To procure privately or by collusion.
They founded the Jesuit Order, which sole mission was to neutralize the Protestant Movement and to bring the Protestants, Orthodox church members, and all other non Roman Catholic groups under the authority of the Pope.
In 1605, one year after King James I, king of England, commissioned the translation of the Kings James Bible, the Jesuits tried to destroy the leadership of Protestant England and the publication of the King James Bible with the Gunpowder Plot. They failed of course. Tried as they might, the Roman Catholic Church could not stop people from getting access to the word of God. Knowing that they could not stop the work of God by persecution alone, the Jesuits decided to go in league with mainstream Christianity in the area of Bible translations with the hope of corrupting the pure word of God.
Since 1881, there have been well over two hundred translations of the Bible, especially the New Testament, and all using the Critical Text to subvert and supplant the King James Bible by claiming that the manuscripts underlying the King James Bible are not the best manuscripts, and that they are outdated and faulty. At the same time, these people also claim that they have the "oldest and best" manuscripts in their possessions.
The Old Testament (OT) of the KJV was translated from the 1524-25 Jacob Ben Chayyim text, 2nd edition of the Rabbinic Bible published by Daniel Bomberg, and the New Testament (NT) from the Textus Receptus.
Modern bible versions (NIV, NASB, ESV, etc) used the Rudolf Kittel Text (OT) and the Westcott & Hort Text (NT) as the source text. These are Critical Texts so-called, because it was produced by men who blasphemously took it upon themselves to criticize and correct the word of God based upon their own thoughts, attitudes and biases. Not only that, but they have also assumed the authority to decide which words or verses to stay in the Bible, and which ones to go.
To date, the underlying text for modern bible versions is still "evolving". The Nestle-Aland text is a critical edition of the New Testament, and the source text of most modern Bible translations. Right now, it is already in its 28th edition. Not many Christians might know this, that the Nestle-Aland text is under the supervision and control of the Roman Catholic Church (Vatican) through joint agreement with the United Bible Societies (UBS) which owns it. Therefore, every modern-day "bible" is a product of the Roman Catholic Church one way or another, so that every modern-day "Christian" is a Roman Catholic, one way or another.
The question is: Do we have the incorruptible word of God now with us? The answer is found in 1 John 1:1-3, which says:
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ."
John was not referring to the physical Jesus Christ in this passage but the Holy Bible, which is "of the Word of life" Jesus Christ, for he was manifested in the flesh according to the Holy Bible, and John and the rest of the Apostles have seen it with their eyes, and bear witness that the word of God is faithful and true.
Psalms 12:6-7 "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever."
The words of the LORD are "pure words". Pure means nothing is added nor anything taken away from it. The words of the LORD can be translated into different languages, but nothing can be added nor anything taken away from it. Moreover, "thou shalt shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." That is the will of God concerning the Holy Bible, which is to remain pure for ever, and God is able to preserve his words.
So to answer the earlier question: "Do we have the incorruptible word of God with us unto this day?" The answer is 'Yes'. We have the pure word of God, the Holy Bible with us unto this day.
Which Holy Bible? Surely the NIV, NKJV, ESV, NASB, NLT, MSG, etc also call themselves "Holy Bible", but these bibles are not the same as the King James Bible because they came from a different set of source text. We know the difference by simply comparing the text itself. Moreover, modern version bibles were translated using a technique call "dynamic equivalence", which basically means the translators had the liberty to substitute the words of the text according to their whims and fancies of what a particular word means. The King James Bible was translated using "formal equivalence" (word-for-word translation), and the translation was to come under open scrutiny of different groups of people in the translation committee before it goes into the Bible.
How important is it to get the real Holy Bible?
1 Peter 1:23 "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
Notice: "... born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God..." Apart from every word of God, one cannot be born again. The 66 books of the Holy Bible is the "seed" of the church, the genetic material where all the information for the very genetic code of the body of Christ are encoded. The words inside the 66 Books of King James Bible are NOT the same as those inside 66 books of modern version bibles (NIV, NKJV, NASB, ESV, NLT etc) i.e. their genetic code is different. One is pure, and the other is corruptible.
1 Corinthians 15:37-40 "And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. 39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another."
Different "seeds" will produce different bodies, even as different bibles will produce different churches.
Luke 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
That which is of God proceed from every word of God. That which is not of God proceed from "vain words". Every born again believer is a product of every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, not of “vain words”.
