Vain words will not produce everlasting life
Both MEV and NKJV claim lineage from the Massoretic Text (OT) and Textus Receptus (NT), which are the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek text underlying the King James Bible (KJV). However, upon close examination, comparing Bible verses, we will soon discover that this is not the case.
Take Psalm 139:16 for example:
KJV: "... in thy book all my MEMBERS were written"
MEV: "... in Your book all my DAYS were written"
NKJV: "... in Your book they were all written, The DAYS fashioned for me"
Isn't it obvious from this comparison the difference between KJV and the MEV and NKJV. While the MEV and NKJV agree with each other, they agree not with the KJV. What about the NIV? What did it say in this verse?
NIV: "... all the DAYS ordained for me were written in your book"
Notice how the MEV and NKJV pander to the NIV in their translation? Are these strange bibles holy and true? Only people with an "honest and good heart" (Luke 8:15) will search out the matter (Proverbs 25:2), admit the difference and repent from their error. Only this group of Christians shall inherit the kingdom of God. Why?
Luke 8:11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God."
Because that which born again believers have received in their hearts is holy and true, and that which is holy and true is eternal. However, those who stubbornly insist on false bibles have only received "vain words" (Ephesians 5:6) in their hearts, and vain words will not produce everlasting life.
