Isaiah said 'the end is told from the beginning'. (Isaiah 46:10) And Jeremiah has definitely told us the end.. A rebellious people - aspostate. Because, as the Lord God lamented, my people like it that way.

Thanks Max, the quote shown by Thomas Wilson is simple yet profound, to easily offence is taken where the truth is seen and heard “Matthew 7: 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.“

Thank you. I will read the link you sent. Earlier this evening I had also done a search on “A Bruised Reed” but did not have time to read it until just now.

What first came across my feed and I listened to as I was driving home was from a YT channel called “Ancient Paths” where the narrator is doing a 4+ hr read on the book by someone named Richard Sibbes. Never heard that name before. It’s entitled “A Bruised Reed.” So I began listening to this tonight. After I posted my comment I went back to finish reading the first article on “A Bruised Reed” only to discover that they quoted Richard Sibbes book on the bruised reed. I think the Holy Spirit is directing this. 💔✝️🩷

This is so relevant for today. In fact the timing for this post is perfect. I left a church approx 5 months ago for the very reasons Jeremiah prophesied about these leaders and churches of his time.

So much anguish in my heart for seeing what they refused to see even caused me to do a search to find out if there is some sort of calling by God on a person’s life as in Jeremiah that it could even be referred to as “The Jeremiah Calling.” So I entered that very title into the search box and yes, there is and it’s by that very name…”The Jeremiah Calling.” It’s a person who’s been called and whose eyes the Spirit opens to see and hear what those in leadership refuse to see and hear. It’s a lonely, isolating position to be in. The “Seer” sees and the “Hearer” hears what others choose to be blind to, and sadly they choose the lie over the truth and the Liar over the one who comes exposing the lies via the truth.

My question is this, who would choose to have “The Jeremiah Calling?” Please tell me who? It’s a life of rejection and loneliness because you continue to be the one who sees what they refuse to see and instead of receiving the word of truth they reject the word of truth along with the messenger of truth who came in love, fear of the Lord/humility and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I have asked God many times in tears, “Why me?! Why do You always allow me to see these things?!” “Am I the only one like this?!” I am now seeking the Lord asking Him to heal my broken heart from repeated betrayal and continuous disappointments by those claiming to be God’s people.

My apologies if I’ve shared too much here. I just don’t know what to do. I told the Lord just tonight as I was driving away from my new house of worship, that I love, I said to Him “I feel like that “bruised reed…the one You said You will not break.”
