The Holy Bible tells us in these two verses to believe not everything we hear (including information coming from the government and the MSM) but "try the spirits":
Job 12:11 "Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?"
1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
What about "fearful reactors"?
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
1 John 4:18 "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."
Perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. When God gave us a sound mind, he have also at the same time cast out the spirit of fear. That is the perfect love of God towards his children.

Born again believers are critical thinkers, not fearful reactors.
