This post continues from where I have stopped at Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 32), where I have discussed from scripture the “king of fierce countenance” in Daniel 8:23 and the conditions of when he will make his appearance:
Daniel 8:23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up."
The two conditions are:
“in the latter time of their kingdom,”
“when the transgressors are come to the full.”
I’ve also expounded on the meaning of this phrase “when the transgressors are come to the full” using the parable of the tares and the wheat, and witnessed by the teachings of Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 which tell us that the “falling away” (mark of the beast) shall be implemented worldwide, and that man of sin, the son of perdition shall be revealed.
Deuteronomy 28:49-50 "The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:"
The “children of pride” (Job 41:34) are the ones who shall receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, and they will form a “nation of fierce countenance” whose tongue “thou shalt not understand.” As a nation, they will be ruled over by a “king of fierce countenance” (Daniel 8:23) who understands “dark sentences,” which Paul reveals as that man of sin, the son of perdition:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
This is that king of fierce countenance who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he shall sit as God in the temple of all the children of pride that have received the mark of the beast, shewing himself that he is God. In the end of the world, there will only be two nations and two manner of people.
Genesis 25:23 "And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger."
The two nations and two manner of people are Jacob and Esau, one whom God loved (wheat), and the other whom God hated (tares) according to Romans 9:13. Also, in the end, there will only be two religions left in this world: pure bible Christianity, and the mystery religion of the beast. Read this post for more details:
That’s why when the disciples asked Jesus at the mount of Olive in Matthew 24:3: “Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus answered them:
Matthew 24:7 "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."
Mark 13:8 "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows."
Luke 21:10 "Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:"
These are parallel verses from the gospel of Matthew, Mark and Luke talking about the same thing: “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” Notice the singular terms in each of these verses for all the three verses: “nation” and “kingdom?” Which nation? Which kingdom? According to Romans 9:13, Jacob is a spiritual nation that God loved, and Esau is a spiritual nation that God hated. The “end of the world” according to the parable of the tares and the wheat, will be the time of harvest:
Matthew 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."
Matthew 13:37-39 "He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.""
According to Jesus in Matthew 13:38, “the field is the world.” It is the sum of the wheat and the tares. In the end of the world, at the harvest time, the field which will consist of both tares and wheat will be clearly separated. The tares will be all the children of pride who have received a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, and the wheat will be all the children of God. Luke 8:11 tells us that “the seed is the word of God.” The good seed of the word of God is sown by the Son of man Jesus Christ in the hearts of God’s elect people. Referring to the scribes and the Pharisees, Jesus tells us in:
Matthew 15:12-14 "Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? 13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."
Notice the words “every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted?” Those would be the tares, which according to Matthew 13:39 “the enemy that sowed them is the devil.” Jesus calls them “the children of the wicked one” in Matthew 13:38, and he repeated those words in John 8:44 “ye are of your father the devil.” Until the harvest time, the tares will be growing together with the wheat in the field. Until the end of the world, when the mark of the beast shall be implemented, the wheat and the tares will be growing together in the field.
Matthew 13:28-30 "He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."
The words “wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?” tells us there will be a gathering at the time of the harvest: a gathering of the tares (all who have received the mark of the beast), and a gathering of God’s elect. Notice however that the tares will be gathered first (“Gather ye together first the tares”), and later, the wheat in the resurrection and the rapture. Previously, I have written an article on this topic:
When asked about when the gathering of the tares and the wheat will happen, notice the reply of the “householder” (Jesus): “nay, lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them” in Matthew 13:29. At the present moment, it is not the time yet, because the transgressors have not come to the full according to Daniel 8:23. Jesus tells us in Matthew 13:39 that “the reapers are the angels.” That means that even the angels cannot tell the difference between the tares and the wheat before the harvest time. This knowledge is a mystery, even to the angels. The words “let both grow together until the harvest” in Matthew 13:30 tell us that tares will eventually grow up to be tares, and wheat be wheat. Meanwhile, “nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” (Matthew 24:7; Mark 13:8; Luke 21:10) As long as the tares and the wheat exist together in the same field, there will be war between the two.
Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
Revelation 12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."
The term “her seed” is a reference to the Son of man Jesus Christ and the children of God. There is enmity between the Devil and his seed (tares), and Jesus Christ and the church (wheat) which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. This will be played out in the end of the world in two nations and two manner of people: Esau and Jacob. Prophesying of the spiritual nation Esau, Isaac said in this verse:
Genesis 27:40 "And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck."
The words “it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck” tell us that there will be a time when Esau shall break his brother Jacob’s “yoke” from off his neck. What is a “yoke?” A yoke is a wooden bar fasten over the necks of two oxen, connecting them to a bullock cart they are pulling. It is used as a word to illustrate the idea of dominion, such as the dominion of man over beasts, subjecting them to the will of their masters. That’s why it is also used in cases such as this:
Leviticus 26:13 "I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright."
In this case, God broke the bands of the yoke of the Egyptians over the children of Israel, so that they should not be their bondmen. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:17 that “where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” It is the Spirit of the Lord that broke the bands of the Egyptians’ yoke, and where the word of God is, there the Spirit of the Lord is also. The psalmist further tells us in these verses:
Psalms 2:2-3 "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us."
The Egyptians that ruled as masters over the children of Israel are a picture of the kings of the earth and the rulers of this world who exercise tyranny over God’s people, despite they themselves being under the yoke of Jacob. But where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, and the Spirit of the Lord is with God’s people. Notice how in this passage of scripture they took secret counsel against the LORD, and against his anointed, to break the bands of their yoke asunder, and cast away their cords from them? This is the kings of the earth and the rulers of this world conspiring to break the yoke of Jacob from off their necks, and according to Genesis 27:40, they will be successful.
Daniel 7:21 "I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;"
Daniel 8:24 "And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people."
Interestingly, all forms of the word “band” are found exactly 66 times in the 1611 King James Bible, and the word “cords” is a reference to the threefold cord of truth which is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12) If the word of God is taken out of the way, the Spirit of the Lord will also be taken out of the way.
2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"
If the Spirit of the Lord is taken out of the way via the mark of the beast, it is then that “that Wicked,” that man of sin, the son of perdition shall be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. We also find that concerning the “little horn” in:
Daniel 7:11 "I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame."
Daniel 8:25 "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."
These are connecting verses pointing to the same event, when that man of sin, the son of perdition shall stand up against the Prince of princes (Jesus Christ), but he shall be broken without hand and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame, as John has elaborated in these verses:
Revelation 19:19-21 "And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh."
Jesus tells us in the parable of the tares and the wheat in Matthew 13:30 that “in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them.” Those would be the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies which shall stand up against the “Prince of princes,” (Daniel 8:25) and the beast and the false prophet would be cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone, or “given to the burning flame” (Daniel 7:11), and the “remnant” or them that had received the mark of the beast and worshipped his image shall be slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeeded out of his mouth.
