This post continues from where I have stopped at Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 31), where I have expounded on the connecting verses of Daniel 8:11-12 and Daniel 8:25. I’ve also demonstrated from these verses what the mark of the beast would be doing to take the Spirit of the LORD (in the temple of God) out of the way, making way for that man of sin, the son of perdition so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. This is that same “little horn” of Daniel 8:9, a “king of fierce countenance” according to:
Daniel 8:23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up."
This verse also give us the context of when the king of fierce countenance would make his appearance:
“in the latter time of their kingdom,”
“when the transgressors are come to the full.”
The phrase “in the latter time of their kingdom” would be a reference to the latter time of the fourth kingdom, and I have demonstrated from scriptures that this would happen in the timeline of kingdoms, at the feet of the great image part of iron and part of clay. Read this post for the scriptures:
The phrase “when the transgressors are come to the full” tells us of a time when the tares are fully separated from the wheat via the mark of the beast. Jesus tells us in the parable of the tares and the wheat:
Matthew 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."
Matthew 13:38-39 "The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels."
The time of the harvest is, according to Jesus in Matthew 13:39, the end of the world. If we connect this to the timeline of the kingdoms which we read in Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 28), we find that the end of the world, the harvest time, separation of the tares from the wheat, would happen at the latter end of the fourth kingdom as symbolized by the feet of part iron and part clay, which according to Daniel:
Daniel 2:43 "And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay."
The words to note in this verse is “they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men,” which means that the DNA of mankind will be tampered with via the mark of the beast. This is the event that would signify at which point “when the transgressors are come to the full” according to Daniel 8:23. In fact, we also have a second witness in:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
A simple comparison with 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 will tell us that the “falling away” (mark of the beast) will happen in the latter time of the fourth kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full. At that time, a king of fierce countenance which Paul reveals as that man of sin, the son of perdition shall stand up. This is that “little horn” of Daniel 7:8 and Daniel 8:9 who shall oppose and exalt himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he as God will sit in what used to be the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. There is a term in Deuteronomy 28:50 that connects to the king of fierce countenance:
Deuteronomy 28:49-50 "The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50 A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:"
Moses tells us that there is a “nation of fierce countenance,” which is to say, the king of fierce countenance in Daniel 8:23 is a king over the “nation of fierce countenance” in this passage of scripture. This is a nation from “the end of the earth,” as swift as the eagle flieth, and a nation whose tongue “thou shalt not understand.” That is a reference to that king of fierce countenance in Daniel 8:23 “understanding dark sentences.”
Daniel 8:23 "And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up."
Deuteronomy 28:49 "The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;"
If dark sentences comes from a nation whose tongue we understand not acccording to Deuteronomy 28:49, then it certainly sounds like this nation of fierce countenance is not an earthly nation, not of flesh and blood. We know from our prior study of Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 29) that the mark of the beast will be to hijack the body at the DNA level, to allow the genes of the spiritual rulers of the fourth kingdom to be mingled with the genes of mankind, which according to Daniel 2:43 “they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men.” Another key phrase in Deuteronomy 28:49 to take note is “as swift as the eagle flieth.” While this phrase together with the phrase “nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand” may be used to describe an aggressive foreign earthly power, they do not exclude the possiblity that the nation of fierce countenance is not just an earthly nation, but a spiritual one. In fact, this is especially true in the light of Daniel 2:43 where we were told that they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men, connecting back to the days of Noah. The “little horn” is a king of fierce countenance. The leviathan too, is a king. Referring to the leviathan:
Job 41:10 "None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?"
Job 41:34 "He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride."
The leviathan is a picture of the Devil, and the word “fierce” connects to the king of fierce countenance in Daniel 8:23. The leviathan is a king over all the children of pride, which means that the nation of fierce countenance is made up of all the children of pride. Pride is a “haughty spirit” according to Proverbs 16:18, just like that man of sin, the son of perdition who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped. Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:2 that this is that spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience, or what John calls “the spirit of antichrist” in 1 John 4:3. This is the spirit that is now helped by the “mystery of iniquity” in 2 Thessalonians 2:7, leading the whole world into receiving a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, according as what we read in Revelation 13 that should happen. As what I have shared in Pharaoh King of Egypt Part 3, all mankind will be separated into two nations:
Genesis 25:23 "And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger."
This prophecy of scripture is not just restricted to Esau and Jacob, but two nations and two manner of people. There is a group of people that God loved, and there is another group of people that God hated:
Romans 9:13 "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
Jacob is a spiritual nation that God loved, and Esau is a spiritual nation that God hated. The children of pride will be all the people that shall receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads, while the children of God will rather die than to receive the mark of the beast in the temple of their bodies, the temple of God. When the tares shall be separated from the wheat at the harvest time, when the mark of the beast shall be implemented in the end of the world, that will be the time when the two nations and two manner of people shall be fully separated, and it will be clear who belongs to which nation. The children of pride who shall have their DNA mingled with the spiritual rulers of the fourth kingdom will become a nation of fierce countenance which “shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young.” (Deuteronomy 28:50) This is what the mark of the beast will do to a man, changing him into a beast. A beast, just like Esau who was “… red, all over like an hairy garment,” (Genesis 25:25) and scarlet is the colour of sin according to Isaiah 1:18. Connect this to “that man of sin, the son of perdition” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. The beast in Revelation 17:3 is also scarlet in colour. Recall what Paul tells us in:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
A “falling away” must happen, and that man of sin, the son of perdition be revealed, before that great and notable day of the Lord comes. The “falling away” is the implementation of the mark of the beast, which when received in the right hand or in the foreheads, will change a man into a beast: whatever humanity and compassion that is left in him will be fully taken away. When the transgressors are come to the full according to Daniel 8:23, when the “nation of fierce countenance” is fully ready as a bride ready for her husband, that is when the “king of fierce countenance” shall make his appearance. This would be just like how the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife (the church) hath made herself ready as we read in Revelation 19:7. In fact, I have talked about this in Pharaoh King of Egypt Part 26 in the light of other scriptures. To continue in Part 33.
