This post is a continuation from where I have stopped in Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 8), where I have started expounding on this passage of scripture, in:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
Who is that man of sin, the son of perdition, that Paul was referring to? The clue telling us the identity of that man of sin, the son of perdition, is given in the words “that day” in verse 3. What is “that day” that Paul was referring to? Verse 1-2 of this passage of scripture tells us:
2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand."
Therefore, the definition of “that day” is the “day of Christ.” The day of Christ is the day of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the day of the LORD. In Part 4 of this series of messages, I have shown from scripture how “that day” in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 is a reference to:
Ezekiel 38:19 "For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;"
This verse is a reference to Gog (Amalek, Hyksos) of Ezekiel 38-39, and “that day” will be the day of the LORD’s wrath which will begin with the opening of the sixth seal by the Lord Jesus according to Revelation 6:12-13. However, Paul tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 that “that day” shall not come, except there come a “falling away” first, and that man of sin, the son of perdition be revealed. Well, if we look at what happen at the opening of the fifth seal:
Revelation 6:9-11 "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled."
The fifth seal is the event that precipitates the opening of the sixth seal, which is the beginning of the day of the LORD. Here, we find that a great massacre has taken place, whereby born again believers were killed in large numbers for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held. Link this to:
Revelation 13:15 "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."
This verse is the False Prophet who will cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. The next verses tell us:
Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
This is the same False Prophet who will cause as many who held the testimony of Jesus, and would not receive the mark of the beast in their right hand, or in their foreheads, to be killed. At the same time, those who had not the testimony of God, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, would be caused to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads, that no man might buy or sell, except he that had the mark. That would be the “falling away” (Greek: apostasia) that Paul was referring to in 2 Thessalonians 2:3. The root meaning of “apostasia” is found in the word “apostasion,” which is translated as “divorcement” in Matthew 5:31, Matthew 19:7 and Mark 10:4.
Therefore, the “falling away” according to Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 will be signified by the idea of “divorcement.” It will be Christ giving a writing of divorcement to put away those Christians who would receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads, so that they should not be killed for the testimony they once held as believers, that they may continue to buy or sell like everyone else who likewise, have received the mark of the beast.
"Now, the question is, if you’re living in the Tribulation period, and you take this mark, in other words, you identify with the beast’s empire, will you still be able to be redeemed? And I think the answer to that is yes. Yes! Otherwise there would be no salvation of anybody in the end of the Tribulation; and you’ve got to have the salvation of folks in the end of the Tribulation." — John MacArthur, dispensationalist.
In this video, John MacArthur (dispensationalist) says that if you are saved and if you are forced to take the mark of the beast, you will still go to heaven. This teaching stems from the system of doctrine of dispensationalism which teaches that the current dispensation is the "dispensation of Grace," whereby God has relinquished all requirements of the law and unconditionally forgives a sinner who accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and that nothing can make him lose his salvation if he was saved during the dispensation of Grace. How a person was saved, based on the most widely accepted theory endorsed by dispensational churches, is that he makes a decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and that is usually by responding to the altar call, and asking God for forgiveness and saying a sinner's prayer asking Jesus into his life.
The Altar Call method of salvation is less well-known as the method of "decisionism," which came from a theory developed by Charles G. Finney in the early 1800s. Not surprisingly, Charles G. Finney himself was also a high level Freemason, a Master Mason, who claimed conversion and became active in anti-masonic movements. The question to ask is this: has he truly left the cult? Jesus tells us in this passage of scripture to beware of false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves:
Matthew 7:15-20 "¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
A corrupt tree cannot bring forth good fruit. One of the things about Freemasons is that they are empowered by their doctrine of fraternity to live a double life. Masons are required to tell lies or even perjure themselves in order to protect other masons. This fraternity concept of Freemasonry makes it easy for diabolical groups like the Jesuits, which was known for their infiltration and secret assassinations, to ride on the Brotherhood in furtherance of their own cause. Of course, to a truly born again believer, nothing can make him lose his salvation. However, that was not because of the sinner's prayer he prayed. A born again believer who believes in every word of God in the 66 books of the Holy Bible was saved through his faith in the word of God by the grace of God, and faith in the word of God means that he will never take the mark of the beast. He would rather lose his life than be an offence to his heavenly Father. Well, this also goes to show that for Christians who take the mark of the beast for whatever reason, they were never truly born again to begin with. Back to 2 Thessalonians 2:3, where Paul tells us that there will be a “falling away” first, connect this to:
Numbers 14:32 "But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness."
The falling away will happen as a result of the mark of the beast being implemented, and it will be a very spectacular event to watch out for. All of a sudden, billions of people all over the world would be turned into living dead which cannot be saved. By taking the mark of the beast, they have become temples made with hands that God will not dwell in. They have all “fallen,” so as to say, and the term “congregation of the dead” (Proverbs 21:16) aptly describes those who will be taking the mark of the beast in the future to come.
Revelation 9:5-6 "And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them."
The bible tells us in this passage that the days will come when man shall seek death, and shall not find it. He has a desire to die, but death shall flee from him. What has happened to mankind? The context of this passage is after man has received the mark of the beast. Ultimately, the Devil wants to hijack the temple of God and turn it into a temple for that man of sin — the son of perdition via the mark of the beast, and hence the "falling away."
The Devil wants to sit in the temple of God shewing himself that he is God. But first, he has to hijack it, and that would be via the mark of the beast (transhumanism). The falling away is not just "apostasia" in the Greek language. Of course, it would involve literal apostasy from the faith. But the greatest betrayal of all is the surrendering of the temple of God to the Devil. That’s why Judas Iscariot was also called the “son of perdition,” as in:
John 17:12 "While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."
There are only two places in the 1611 King James Bible that this term “son of perdition” is found. One is a reference to the man of sin — the son of perdition, and the other is a reference to Judas Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver out of the love of money.
1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Paul tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil, and this is the very reason why strange occult symbols are embedded in the design of money. Just like the love of God will compel a born again believer to walk in a narrow path that leads unto life, the love of money will also compel the rest of the world (false Christians included) to walk in the broad way that leadeth unto destruction, and many will be there at. Those who worship money automatically worship the little-g god as symbolized by the unfinished pyramid imprinted on the money, and they will be led to do things out of the love of money. Without the mark, no man might buy or sell. Therefore, Christians who will receive the mark of the beast will do that out of the love of money (as opposed to the love of God), and this will be the “falling away” (Greek: apostasía) as prophesied in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, immediately before that man of sin — the son of perdition be revealed, so that the Devil as God shall sit in the temple of our body, shewing himself that he is God.
That would be Pharaoh king of Egypt (Gog) whose symbol is found at the back of every US dollar, who shall be revealed when the mark of the beast shall be implemented worldwide at the “falling way.” Though unseen by the eye, there is a fierce battle raging on for the souls of men on earth. But until our eyes are open to the written word of God, we will never perceive this reality, which is more real than our physical existence. Everything that is happening today is spiralling towards the end. The mark of the beast is the end of humanity, and it is an irreversible tragedy for those who will take it. More to come in Part 10.
