Jude 1:4-5 "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not."
There are many false converts that crept into the church unawares, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling awayfirst, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"
The "falling away" will take place before "that day", which according to verse 1, is the "coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him..." That would be the rapture. Now, back to:
Jude 1:5 "... how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not."
There were ungodly men which God had saved out of Egypt together with the rest of the children of Israel. However, the difference between those ungodly men and the ones that made it to the promised land is that God made sure that the ungodly will not make it to the promised land.
Matthew 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn."
The tares will fall away first, and afterwards the wheat will make it to the barn (the promised land).
Ecclesiastes 1:9 "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun."
Likewise, God will also make sure that those false converts would "fall away" before the day of the rapture. God will make sure that these ungodly men will not make it into the kingdom of God. Those would be the tares who were never saved to begin with.
very good writing and read, thank you
