Sometime ago, I had a conversation with a universalist, and the question of "where did religions originated from" was brought up. What is a “universalist?” A universalist is someone who embraces the principles of all religions, and accept others in an inclusive manner, as symbolised by the notion of “coexist:”
Universalists believe that every person will eventually receive salvation in a religious or spiritual sense, a concept also referred to as “universal reconciliation.” In this post, I will attempt to answer the question of "where did all religions come from," from the 66 books of the 1611 King James Bible. Consider this passage of scripture:
James 1:14-15 "But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."
That happened in the garden of Eden in Genesis 3, when Eve was tempted by the serpent to take from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Then when the woman was tempted, she was drawn away of her own lust, and when lust hath conceived, that was the point when she transgressed against God’s commandment. That was the original sin that led to the fall of mankind.
Genesis 2:17 "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."
The end of sin, the outcome of transgressing against God's commandment was death according to Genesis 2:17. At this point, I would like to draw your attention to a very important keyword to note in James 1:14-15, and that is the word "lust," for without lust, sin cannot be conceived. Moreover, John also tells us that as long as we are in this flesh and blood body, we cannot escape lust.
1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."
There is that lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life in every sinner. Pride too, is a form of lust, but it is not the same lust after physical things, such as in this verse:
Genesis 3:6 "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."
Lust was already in the woman Eve, when she saw that the tree was good for food (lust of the flesh), and that it was pleasant to the eyes (lust of the eyes), and to be desired to make one wise (pride of life). Then, she was tempted by the serpent, and that was when she committed the original sin against God. However, unlike the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes, it is the wisdom of this world that the "pride of life" is after, not the tangible and physical things. The bible tells us that:
James 3:15 "This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish."
This is the kind of wisdom that the “pride of life” lust after, one which the bible describes as earthly, sensual and devilish, as opposed to the wisdom that is from above:
James 3:17 "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."
The wisdom that is from above is God’s wisdom, one that is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Nevertheless, the wisdom that “descendeth not from above” was the prize for the woman Eve taking from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, which according to the serpent:
Genesis 3:4-5 "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."
That was “pride of life” in the woman Eve desiring that the eyes of mankind be opened, and that man shall be as little-g gods, knowing good and evil. Thereafter, when both Adam and Eve took from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the bible tells us that “the eyes of them both were opened:”
Genesis 3:7 "And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons."
Now that their eyes were opened to see good and evil, they knew that they were naked, and were ashamed. Before the original sin, it never did once occur to them. That was the “wisdom” in them that is earthly, sensual and devilish (James 3:15) showing them their nakedness, and teaching them what they should be doing to cover up their shame. Likewise, there is a form of “wisdom” teaching and showing men what they should be doing to worship the gods they serve in a religion, regardless of their differences.
1 Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual."
This “wisdom” according to Paul is “man’s wisdom,” teaching man the things that are contrary to what the Holy Ghost teacheth. Paul continues in the next verse:
1 Corinthians 2:14 "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
This is the wisdom of the natural man, which according to James 3:15 is earthly, sensual and devilish, calling the things of the Spirit of God “foolishness,” so that man is heavily predisposed to reject the commandments of the Lord, preferring the traditions and commandments of men over “the way, the truth and the life.” (John 14:6)
Colossians 2:8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."
Linking back to the original sin in Genesis 3:6, it was from the "pride of life" by which all religious ideas, doctrines, theories and schools of thoughts were conceived. This is that wisdom which teaches a natural man to walk after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of this world, and not after Christ. Paul calls those things philosophy and vain deceit. He continues in his warning against those things in the following verse:
Colossians 2:18 "Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,"
Voluntary humility and worshipping of angels is basically idolatry, and that is what natural men will do, calling it “wisdom.” Paul tells us that they are intruding into those things that they have not seen, vainly puffed up by their natural minds. It also happened in the days of Noah, right before the Flood.
Genesis 6:5 "¶ And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
The bible calls it “imagination of the thoughts” of the heart, and it was in those days that the wickedness of man was great in the earth. In those days, men were all into voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, except for a righteous few. We know from Genesis 6:4 that there were giants in the earth in those days, when the sons of God (angels) came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them. Then, the next few verses tell us that the earth was corrupt before God:
Genesis 6:11-12 "The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth."
The word “corrupt” means a change has taken place turning that which was originally good, into a corrupted state. Moreover, the word “violence” in verse 11 which comes from the word “violate,” tells us why the earth was corrupt before God. According to Ezekiel 22:26, to violate means to “profane,” and to profane is to “defile” according to Leviticus 21:4. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:17 that if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy. This leads us to the next verse:
Genesis 6:13 "And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."
Again, this verse tells us that the earth was filled with violence “through them,” referring to the sons of God (angels) and the daughters of men, corrupting the genes of mankind, producing giants. That was the reason why God said “behold, I will destroy them (all flesh) with the earth.” All these started with the wisdom of men which is earthly, sensual and devilish (James 3:15) rejecting God’s commandments, and allowing mankind to be guided into voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, eventually leading up to the corruption of the genes of mankind. In fact, we also see that happened in the tower of Babel after the Great Flood of Genesis 7:
Genesis 11:4 "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth."
Again, it was that wisdom which “descendeth not from above” (James 5:15) teaching and guiding mankind into building a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven. The goal was for man to attain unto godhood according to the Devil’s promise to mankind in Genesis 3:4-5 “ye shall not surely die… ye shall be as gods.” Man’s wisdom tells him that in order for him to not die, he must ascend. He must evolve bodily. That happened in the days of Noah, where the sons of God (angels) came in unto the daughters of men, producing giants. Jesus tells us in this verse:
Matthew 24:37 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
Again, there will be a corruption of the genes of mankind in the last days before the coming of the Son of man. It is still the same wisdom that is guiding mankind on their way to become immortal little-g gods, ultimately culminating towards the mark of the beast in Revelation 13. While the ways may be different, the goal is and has always been the same, despite the differences.
Revelation 13:8 "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."
This verse tells us that there will be a day when all that dwell upon the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life, shall worship the beast. That means that there will be a one world religion, and this one world religion will be underpinned by the religious ideas, doctrines, theories and schools of thoughts that have been accumulated from since ancient times. It doesn't matter if they may be Catholics, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus or even Freemasons and Satanists, when it comes to the one world religion, they will all be united under a common cause.
Revelation 13:15 "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed."
This religion will require your voluntary humility and worship, failure of which will be seen as an offence and trespass against the image of the beast. Those who will not submit to this religion, to worship the image of the beast, will be killed. In fact, we already had a taste of the one world religion during the COVID19 plandemic, where we saw that people, regardless of whether they be Catholics, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists or Hindus, yet, when it comes to certain things or certain values, they were all united under a common cause. The few who refused the snakejabs, for health or religious reasons, were punished without a cause.
Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Moreover, this religion will require you to receive a mark in your right hand or in your foreheads, failure of which you will not be able to buy or sell. That is the mark of the beast that will be implanted in the body of a man, corrupting his flesh from within, just like in the days of Noah where all flesh was corrupt before the LORD. Likewise, we also saw that in the recent COVID19 medical scam, where nearly the entire world population were caused to be injected with an experimental gene-altering drug, corrupting the flesh from within. Again, just as in the days of Noah, God will destroy all flesh with the earth, but he will deliver the just.
Revelation 14:11 "And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."
Moreover, there will be no salvation for anyone who received the mark of the beast. Their end is that they should be cast into the lake of fire to be tormented for ever and ever. In fact, this is quite the opposite of what universalists believe. The mark of the beast is the end of all religions. There will be no “universal reconciliation” so called.
Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."
Man’s wisdom dictates that the one world religion is the future to go for mankind. According to this verse, it is a way which seemeth right unto a man. However, the same verse also tells us that the end thereof are the ways of death. To a natural man, the religious and philosophical ideas, and even the scientific principles underpinning the mark of the beast may appear to be a way to godhood, even as Jesus Christ is “the way” (John 14:6) to God the Father for born again believers. But just like what we read in:
James 1:15 "Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death."
Sin, when it is finished, will bring forth death. Sin is the transgression of God’s law according to 1 John 3:4, of which all false religions are diametrically opposed to. Sin conceived by the “pride of life” (1 John 2:16) is a transgression against the LORD nevertheless, and the sin that came forth out of the pride of life, when it is finished, will bring forth the second death for the transgressors. A natural man calls the things of the Spirit of God “foolishness,” but God calls him a fool.
Proverbs 12:15 "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise."
This verse tells us that the difference between a “fool” and a “wise” man is in the phrase “hearkeneth unto counsel.” One will hear from the “wisdom that is from above,” (James 3:17) from the counsel of the 66 books of the Holy Bible. The other will not. Why?
Mark 7:9 "And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."
In fact, the beginning part of Proverbs 12:5 already tells us that “the way” of a fool is “right” in his own eyes, which is to say, he believes in his own way. Unbeknownst to him, however, his way is just one of the ways of death. Moreover, it is in the heart of a fool to reject God's commandment so that he gets to keep his own way. Man’s wisdom tells him that he can attain immortality through his own efforts. Indeed, for a short period of time, it may look like man has finally attain unto godhood, effectively breaking the curse of the first death through the mark of the beast:
Revelation 9:5-6 "And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them."
The bible tells us that for five months, man shall seek death, and shall not find it. He has a desire to die, but death shall flee from him. That is true, even though mankind would be heavily tormented. The context of this passage of scripture is after man has received the mark of the beast. So, one of the things that the mark of the beast will do, is to alter the genetics of man so that he will no longer die. Man has become a god, but that is not “the way” to God the Father according to:
John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
What is "the way?" Jesus tells us that he is "the way," which is to say, the words of the LORD in the 66 books of the Holy Bible is "the way, the truth, and the life" for every born again believer as opposed to the fool, who himself is his own bible. BTW, the word "fool" is found exactly 66 times in the 1611 King James Bible. That is not an accident!
Another great post 🙌❤️, thank you bro Max, God bless you 🙏
