What is doctrine? Mark 7:7 "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." According to this verse, doctrines are teachings of God’s commandments. While the scribes and Pharisees should be teaching from the pure commandments of God, they have failed to do so, and instead they taught for doctrine the commandments of men.
