When asked by a lawyer with the Pharisees: “Master, which is the great commandment of the law?” Jesus summarized the Ten Commandments into these two:
Matthew 22:37-40 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."
So, the first and great commandment is this: “thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” The second and great commandment is this: “thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Jesus also added that on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets, and we have a figure of that in the ten fingers of our hands:
the left hand with five fingers representing the Old Testament;
the right hand with another 5 fingers representing the New Testament.
Remember the battle at Rephidim, where the children of Israel were attacked by Amalek?
Exodus 17:11 "And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed."
When Moses held up the ten fingers on both hands representing all the law and the prophets contained in the Old Testament and the New Testament in the 66 books of the Holy Bible, the children of Israel prevailed. But when Moses let down his hands, Amalek prevailed. BTW, Amalek was called the enemy of the Jews in these two verses:
Esther 9:10 "The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand."
Esther 9:24 "Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;"
Agag was the king of the Amalekites according to 1 Samuel 15:8, and Haman being an Agagite was a type of “that Wicked” of 2 Thessalonians 2:8 means that the people who came against the children of Israel in the battle at Rephidim will be the same group of people who shall come against God’s people in the future, in the same manner. Notice in Esther 9:10 “the ten sons of Haman” whom the bible refers to as “the enemy of the Jews?” That means the enemy will come against God’s children with their version of the law and the prophets, to replace the law and the prophets of God (Ten Commandments) contained in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Prophet Daniel confirms that in:
Daniel 8:25 "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."
It will be through a framework of global governance, and in the name of peace and safety, that mass destruction will be carried out. Moreover, Isaiah tell us that the enemy shall come in like a flood:
Isaiah 59:19 "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him."
We have a picture of the flood in Genesis 7, where the mass destruction as foretold by Noah became a reality for the whole world. Likewise, the enemy shall come in like a flood against God’s people. Apostle John tells us in this verse:
Revelation 12:15 "And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood."
The Devil persecuted the woman, which in the context of this verse, is the church of the living God. Notice he cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, so that he might cause her to be carried away? There is that similarity to the Great Flood of Genesis 7, and we read in Isaiah 59:19 that the enemy shall come in like a flood. The enemy is the water that shall come out of the Devil’s mouth. We have a picture of that in this verse, how the word that goeth forth out from God’s mouth shall not return to him void, but shall accomplish that which he please:
Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
The Devil wants to be like the most High, (Isaiah 14:14) and he will accomplish his will through the enemies of the God’s children. We have a reference of that in the book of Job, how the Devil sent the Sabeans and the Chaldeans to destroy Job. Amalek was the enemy of the Jews, and we saw how they came in as a flood and attacked the children of Israel in Rephidim.
Deuteronomy 25:17-18 "¶ Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; 18 How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God."
It was there in Rephidim, when the children of Israel were dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, that Amalek came in suddenly and made a sneak attack on the weak and feeble from behind, at a time when they were faint and weary. The psalmist further tells us how it was like:
Psalms 18:4 "The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid."
The enemy came rushing in from behind and surrounded God’s people, like how it happen with a flood. Everywhere they turn their heads to, they only see the sorrows of death. We have another picture of how the enemy will come rushing down like a flood in the battle of Gog and Magog, like a storm to cover the land:
Ezekiel 38:9 "Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee."
It will be the same enemy of the Jews from ancient times, which prophet Ezekiel has revealed as “Gog.” In Ezekiel 38, Gog shall assemble a huge army from various nations to come against God’s people, just like how it happened at the battle of Rephidim, at that time when the children of Israel were exodused out of Egypt and dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates:
Ezekiel 38:10-11 "Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: 11 And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,"
BTW, the Amalekites were said to be the Hyksos people of Egypt, and Hyksos were an Asiatic people who exercised political control over Egypt around the time of the Exodus. The name Hyksos was generally taken to mean “rulers of foreign countries,” because Hyc in the sacred language denotes “king,” and sos in the common dialect means “shepherd.” The combined words form “Hyc-sos” or “king-shepherds.” Some ancient Arab writers have also recorded the invasion of Egypt by the Amalekites. For example, Al-Samhudi (844-911) wrote these about the Hyksos:
“An Amalekite king, el-Welid, son of Douma, arrived from Syria, invaded Egypt, conquered it, seized the throne and occupied it with-out opposition, his life long.” — Macoudi, Les Prairies d or, II, Chap. XXXI.
So, after the Pharaoh and his army perished in the Red Sea, the Amalekites (Hyksos) who fought with the children of Israel at Rephidim invaded ancient Egypt and ruled as Pharaohs. They conquered Egypt and seized the throne easily, as there were no longer any royal power in Egypt at that time to resist them. In another work of Masudi, he gave a more detailed account of the conquest of el-Welid, son of Douma, an Amalekite king, how he was the head of numerous army with the intention to overrun diverse countries and to overthrow their sovereigns:
“El-Welid, son of Douma, advanced at the head of a numerous army, with the intention to overrun diverse countries and to overthrow their sovereigns.” — L’Abreges des merveills (French translation by Carra de Vaux; Paris, 1898), p. 342.

Back to Ezekiel 38:10-11, have you noticed the words “… at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought?” That means that the enemy has been watching and keeping an eye on God’s people all the while, looking for the best opportune timing to launch an attack on them. Link that to the masonic all-seeing eye at the back of the US dollar:
It is an eye because the enemy is watching, and they are not afraid to let us know that they are spying out on us, just like what Paul tells us in this verse:
Galatians 2:4 "And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:"
The enemy is constantly on the watch, just like how false brethren infiltrate the church to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, so that they might bring us into bondage. We find a reference of the word “bondage” in this verse, how the children of Israel were kept in bondage to the Egyptians:
Exodus 6:5 "And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant."
Bondage is an antonym of liberty, while liberty is a privilege conferred by the laws of God that is keeping us free from the bondage of tyranny. Tyranny can come in many forms, but generally speaking, it is oppression or coercion imposed on the people, just like how the Egyptians oppressed the children of Israel. What happened to the children of Israel is the same as what is happening with us today, when the constitutions derived from the laws of God which are supposed to guarantee our liberty, are being compromised and bypassed. Now, the whole world is subtly being put under the yoke of spiritual Egypt and the kings of the earth.
Psalms 2:1-3 "Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us."
That is the “mystery of iniquity” at work according to Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:7. More reading in this post:
The times may be different, but the enemy has always been the same. That’s why the Lord told us through Ezekiel that Gog is not a new kid on the block, but an ancient enemy whom the LORD has spoken of in old time by his servants, the prophets of Israel:
Ezekiel 38:17 "Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?"
BTW, why is it that a masonic all-seeing eye is sitting on top of an unfinished pyramid at the back of the US dollar? What does the pyramid signify? Well, pyramids are the final resting places for the Pharaohs of Egypt after they have passed on from their present lives, where they were said to have become immortal gods in their afterlife. They were the temples for the dead Pharaohs who have graduated to become immortal little-g gods. Compare this to what Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 that we are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwelleth in us. Our body is a temple of God because of the Spirit of God dwelleth in us, just like how the pyramid is a temple, and the Pharaoh’s spirit dwells in it. That’s why Paul also warned us that a little-g god wants to sit in the temple of of our body shewing himself that he is God:
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
This is that man of sin, the son of perdition whom Paul reveals in 2 Thessalonians 2:8 as “that Wicked” (capitalized ‘W’). He is that little-g god whose symbols are hidden in plain sight in the design of the US dollar. Below is an article exposing some of the symbols on the US dollar:
BTW, it is no accident that all forms of the word “eye” are found exactly 636 times in the 1611 King James Bible, and 636 = 600 + (6 x 6) bears the pattern of the number 666, which is the number of the beast according to:
Revelation 13:18 "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
That is the all-seeing eye that has been circulating between people and people in the form of money, and has been giving the world government a handle to spy on the world citizenry through the banks and financial institutions. Be sure they are spying on every transaction we make and getting information on what we do with our money. The drive for a cashless society is, to a large extent, to further enable them on what they are already doing in the background. It is not just a tool for control, but the data collected on every transaction will also provide them with insights to help the enemy plan for their next move. With hard cash, however, it is a little harder for them. Read this post for more information on programmable currencies:
Paul tells us that the love of money is the root of all evil in this verse:
1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
A great evil is coming upon the whole world, and it can be traced back to the love of money. Money reflects our spending habits, and what we do with money reveals our spiritual health. That is how, by keeping track of the money, that the Devil knows when is the best opportune timing to launch an attack. Well, if we study the circumstances leading up to Gog’s attack on Israel as detailed in Ezekiel 38:10-11, we will find out that Gog’s attack on Israel will happen when the people are at rest and dwelling safely. What do people do when they are at rest and dwelling safely? Jesus connects the day of his coming to the days of Noah:
Matthew 24:37-39 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
The opportune time of Gog’s attack will be characterized by peace and safety, like in the days of Noah when the people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage. They would also be living in spiritual ignorance, and could not perceive the great danger that is coming upon them. They would be “at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates” according to Ezekiel 38:11, and that would be the best opportune time for the enemy to launch an attack. What is their aim? Ezekiel continues…
Ezekiel 38:12 "To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land."
Their aim is to “take a spoil, and to take a prey” of the people which have “gotten cattle and goods” (materially rich). Notice also that this verse specifically mentioned that these are a people gathered out of the nations (plural). That is a reference to God’s people whose father Abraham, is a father of many nations according to Genesis 17:4-5. We find the same thing mentioned in:
Exodus 15:9 "The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them."
That was the enemy, Pharaoh King of Egypt, who wanted to pursue and overtake the children of Israel who went out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. The children of Israel were materially rich when they came out of Egypt, and the Pharaoh wanted to satisfy his lust upon them: to take a spoil, to take a prey, and to ultimately draw his sword upon them to destroy them. After the children of Israel were exodused out of Egypt, they were dwelling without walls, having neither bars nor gates like what we read in Ezekiel 38:11. The same will also happen to God’s people when the enemy Gog shall ascend and come like a storm, and they would be “dwelling without walls” when that shall happen. However, those are not just physical walls, if we take into consideration what the bible tells us about walls:
Proverbs 24:30-34 "I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. 32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. 33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man."
This passage of scripture tells us that the stone wall was broken down, and it connects to these verses:
Isaiah 5:5-6 "And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: 6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it."
A hedge is a wall surrounding the vineyard, and its purpose is to protect the vineyard from thieves by preventing them from coming in and steal from it. So, when the stone wall was broken down in Proverbs 24:30-34, it means an enemy has entered in. Also, the vineyard in Proverbs 24:30-34 belongs to a slothful man, a man void of understanding whose heart is choked gross of fat, so that he could neither perceive nor hear from the word of God.
Because of his slothfulness, his poverty shall come as one that travelleth; and his want as an armed man. It is not just physical poverty this passage of scripture was referring to, but also a “famine of bread” in the hearing of the words of the LORD:
Amos 8:11 "¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:"
The slothful man will continue to fold his hands to sleep, not knowing that the enemy has broken down the wall and entered in to steal from his vineyard and trod it down. In place of what used to be grapes would now be briers and thorns, and we have a picture of that in the Parable of the Sower:
Luke 8:14 "And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection."
The seed of the word of God when sown in a heart full of thorns and briers will bring no fruit to perfection. Such is the heart of a slothful man, one void of understanding, whose heart is choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life. There is no “love of the truth” (2 Thessalonians 2:10) in him, that he might be saved. However, God will be longsuffering with this Christian man until such a time when enough is enough, and then he shall take away the hedge of his vineyard and allow the enemy to enter in. The word “hedge” is also found in this passage of scripture:
Job 1:9-10 "Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land."
There was a “hedge” that God has put about Job, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side that the Devil could see. Obviously that was not a physical wall, but it serves the purpose of a wall. As long as the hedge is standing, the enemy could not enter in. It was only when God removed the hedge that the Devil could enter in and wreak havoc in Job’s life: took away all of his physical possessions and even killed his children; and later also destroyed his physical health. Without that hedge about him, the Devil had all the freedom to punish Job, up to the extent that God had allowed him to do:
Job 1:12 "And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD."
Job 2:6 "And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life."
Therefore, the LORD’s word was a “hedge” about Job that prevented the Devil from taking his life. Linking this back to what we have read about the slothful man, it was God who removed the hedge about him that the enemy could enter in and steal from it, and the vineyard was left unattended so that thorns and briers shall grow all over, and in the end, this man will bring no fruit to perfection. So when the bible tells us in Ezekiel 38:11 that God’s people are dwelling without walls, that is not only an indication that God has removed his hedge about them, but it is also a prophecy that churches all over the world would be filled with Christians whose thorny ground hearts are choked with the cares of this world, the riches and pleasures of this life, so that they bring no fruit to perfection. They will be eating and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, and living in complete spiritual ignorance of the signs of the times, until the enemy shall come rushing in as a flood and take them all away. Only the few that would continue to uphold the “law and the prophets” (Matthew 22:40) shall live to see the coming of the Son of man in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory: the dead in Christ shall rise first, and we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Ezekiel 38: The enemy is watching
