Tremendous work here! I personally love the view to the Lord God's use of numbers; for math & numbers are as in all of God's works.. used with EXACTING precision, and SCIENTIFIC Perfection!

In fact, for many years now, the Lord God has used numbers to communicate things to those eyes trained to spot their meanings, as the world races rapidly to its denouement.

YES!! The King James Bible is miraculous! It is THE Bible I reach for first, though I have many translations in this house. For many reasons as you wrote, and others such as its liberal presentation of the Orientalisms and Hebrewisms, and other such Figures of Speech that in other translations are hidden or removed; but which figures add tremendous light to the passage they reflect.

What a piece of work Max! It will take time to truly review it all. Thank you and God bless you! Victoria

Of the 37 Bibles in my house - over 20 of them are King James. Among the many reasons, yes, it is in this translation that I clearly hear the Lord's 'voice'. Also, the translation was faithful to preserve the myriad nuances of the original Hebrewisms - the multitudes of 'figures of speech' unique to Hebrew that add fantastic depth to the meaning of the words. One example is found in Genesis 3:22, where the Lord God - speaking of the cataclysmic result were Adam - after eating of the tree of good and evil - to also eat of the tree of life and live forever... And His voice trails off - as if the result were too terrible to even describe. Man would have been left in his unredeemable state forever, and no salvation could ever have been enacted to save us. This verse has a period in most translations, except in the King James.. a semi colon - reflecting the unfinished phrase. Then another powerful advantage of the King James, is it highlights those places where a translator 'added a word' by putting the added word in 'italics',. We see this very clearly in I Chronicles chapter 25, where all word forms of the verb 'to be', are in italics. Why? There IS no verb 'to be' in Hebrew. Hebrew does not supply the word 'am, are, is, was' etc. Russia also does not. To say - I am a soldier, in Russian, you say literally 'I soldier'. To make the Word of God understandable in English the verb 'to be' is supplied. The reason to know this, is to understand that when you see a word in the King James Version in Italics, you immediately know that the word has been supplied by the translators - and is useful for understanding the passage, but has no authority otherwise. Finally, why this last fact is so important is seen in a remarkable record in Genesis chapter one - the 'Creation' chapter of the Bible. In the King James Version, the 2nd verse reads - 'And the earth was without form and voice, and darkness was upon the face of the earth'. Note the 2 usages of the word 'was'. The 2nd one is properly italicized seeing as there IS no word was in Hebrew. But what about the 1st usage, 'earth was without form and void'.. It is not italicized. RIGHT. Because there is no 'extra word supplied by the translators'.. And this fact offers a tremendous key to creation truth. The 1st word translated into English as 'was', is NOT the word 'was' at all. It is the Hebrew word 'BECAME'. We see the same exact Hebrew word in Genesis 2:7 where it reads (correctly) that 'man BECAME a living soul'. And in Genesis 4:3.. 'In the process of time, it CAME TO PASS'.. These words 'came to pass' here, and 'Became' in Genesis 2:7 and 'WAS' in Genesis 1:2 are ALL THE SAME HEBREW WORD.. meaning 'became'. There IS a word 'became in Hebrew'. So why is this so important, that it makes the King James Version indispensable when it comes to research? In this example, it correctly teaches that the earth that God made was not created 'without form and void'. Not at all. Isaiah 45:18 tells us it was made perfect, created to be 'inhabited', So, in just one verse of Scripture in Genesis, we see that 'In the Beginning, the Lord God created a perfect world', and it 'BECAME' without form and void.. that between verses 1 and 2 is the reference to the catyclismic war that Peter talked about, (Peter 3:6,7, the 'World that 'then was', being overflowed with water', (compare that to Genesis 1:2 again.. the Spirit of God moved upon the Face of the Waters'.) that eviscerated what God made 'good' and destroyed all life (The Flood of Noah did not destroy all life, and of it the Lord God said (Genesis 9:11) 'never again shall the world be destroyed by a flood' - clearly referring to more than one flood. And the rest of Genesis 1, is the record - no longer of 'creation' (Hebrew 'Bara') but restoration of the 'earth that God made'. The beauty of the KJV is that these things are trackable, thanks to the integrity of the translators - who did not hide from us where they added a word to the Scriptures - obviously mindful of the warnings to not add or subtract from the Word of God. Unfortunately, other translations ignore this admonition. Thank you Max for a very interesting and thorough look at numbers in Scripture - which absolutely are part of God's incomperable marvel - His Bible.
