Proverbs 29:25 "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe."
“The real damage is done by those millions who want to 'survive.' The honest men who just want to be left in peace. Those who don't want their little lives disturbed by anything bigger than themselves. Those with no sides and no causes. Those who won't take measure of their own strength, for fear of antagonizing their own weakness. Those who don't like to make waves-or enemies. Those for whom freedom, honour, truth, and principles are only literature. Those who live small, mate small, die small. It's the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you'll keep it under control. If you don't make any noise, the bogeyman won't find you. But it's all an illusion, because they die too, those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe. Safe?! From what? Life is always on the edge of death; narrow streets lead to the same place as wide avenues, and a little candle burns itself out just like a flaming torch does. I choose my own way to burn.”

The "crab mentality" refers to a peculiar way of thinking which is best described when a large number of crabs are trapped in a bucket, and collectively, they know to drag each other down, so that no individuals may escape. If there is only one crab in the bucket, it can certainly escape on its own. However, when the crabs congregate in a large group, they instinctively know to grab each other down to undermine their individual efforts at escaping, to make sure the group’s collective demise. It’s the same for those people who won’t resist their oppressors, but quietly go along with them in docile submission.
In fact, attempts by others who resist the tyranny were viewed as rebellion and shunned by them who would rather be left in peace than to be disturbed by powers bigger than themselves. They would rather cooperate with their oppressors than risk making enemies with them. They would rather keep quiet, hoping their oppressors would leave them alone. They would rather look for self-preservation in the face of open oppression. They would rather surrender without a fight. They would rather drag each other down, than to take a stand for something. They would rather give their freedoms away as a solution. They would rather comply than to ask questions. They would rather volunteer with their own enslavement, and the enslavement of many future generations, than do something about it. They would rather watch the unvaccinated hold on to their dear lives, enduring abuse and ridicule, while they continue to pretend they never see, and do nothing, making sure their collective demise.
2 Corinthians 3:17 "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
I didn't know crabs would do that. Diabolical of them! Oh, wait. Many of us have acted the same way. May God have mercy on us!
Thank you. Great article.
All glory to God.
