Consider this verse, and pay attention to the words that I have highlighted:
Daniel 7:25 "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."
There Bible tells us that there is a "man" who think to change times and laws. This same man who think to change times and laws shall also speak great words against the most High, even our Creator.
God was the one who created the heaven and the earth.
Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."
Notice there are exactly 10 words in this verse, which is the opening verse of the Holy Bible? What about the number 10? Well, one would perhaps be familiar with the 10 Commandments, for example. But more than that, embedded in this verse was the concept of time, space and matter:
Time: Past, Present, Future - 3 Periods;
Space: Length, Breath, Depth - 3 Dimensions;
Matter: Solid, Liquid, Gas - 3 States.
Every physical law that is known to mankind is included in this first 10 words of the Holy Bible. Is it not? God is Father, Word and Holy Ghost and these three are one (1 John 5:7). God was also the one who created the lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from night, and these lights are also for signs, for seasons, for days, and for years (times).
Genesis 1:14 "¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:"
Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"
God has a purpose for everything under heaven, and there is a season and a time for everything i.e. one thing leading to another to be manifested in the course of time.
Matthew 13:35 "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."
Romans 16:25 "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,"
While God has a purpose for everything under heaven, the things which are to be manifested in the course of time are a mystery to us. These were things kept secret (mystery) since the world began. Without the New Testament, the dark sayings of the Old Testament would still be a mystery to us. For example:
Numbers 21:8 "And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live."
John 3:14-15 "¶ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
BTW, Numbers is the 4th book of the Old Testament and John is the 4th book of the New Testament. From this comparison, we know that the fiery serpent is Jesus Christ, and whosoever looketh upon it (believeth in him) shall live (not perish). Christ was in the beginning with men, and he was only to be manifested in due time according to the will of God the Father for a purpose.
Going back to:
Daniel 7:25 "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time."
The man in this verse is the "little horn" in Daniel 7:7-8, the same is the "man of sin" who seeks to exalt himself above God, and think to change times and laws of our Creator, and shall wear out the saints of the most High.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."
Daniel 7:25 tells us that he shall "wear out the saints of the most High". Who are the saints of the most High? This verse tells us that the man of sin shall wage a war against the body of Christ, the church, the pillar and ground of the truth, to wear them out.
John 17:17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."
To wear out something means it will take time i.e. the war against the saints of the most High will be a protracted war. The man of sin shall wear out the saints of the most High bit by bit, and little by little. In time to come, they shall wear out the pillar and ground of the truth. The plan is to gradually change the truth of God into a lie.
Romans 1:25 "Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen."
The Devil is a serpent. He moves in imperceptible steps. He operates in stages. He knows that a change can only develop by taking one imperceptible step at a time. Each change must be layered on top of what already exists and integrally wired to it. That is how he works to permanently change the truth of God into a lie, by taking one imperceptible step at a time. The keyword here is "change", as in:
Proverbs 24:21 "My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:"
As a system of doctrine, dispensationalism artificially divides the history of God’s dealings with the world into seven periods of time, which they called “dispensations”. This framework of thinking (philosophy) which undergirds the interpretation of scripture was made famous by John Darby and CI Scofield. An essential tenet of this system is that in each "dispensation" (time) God deals with man based upon a plan which is radically different from the plan of the other dispensations. Each dispensation is a thing entirely apart from the others, and when one period succeeds another, there is a very drastic change in the character and governing principles from the previous dispensation. It teaches a God that "change times and laws" (Daniel 7:25). Is it not?
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."
Not too long ago we did a study on "Who are the Nicolaitans?" In there, I have established from scripture that the Nicolaitans are in fact "false apostles". One of the keywords in this passage is the word "transform" (change). It is in the nature of these agents of Satan to change, and they have transformed themselves into "ministers of righteousness" for the sake of gaining a pass into the church to spread their lies, while calling themselves "apostles". The Bible tells us in Proverbs 24:21 to meddle not with them that are "given to change", because God does not change in the way he do things (Malachi 3:6). The cross over from the Old Testament to the New Testament is not a change, but that the former is revealed in the latter as I have illustrated earlier.
Ephesians 2:2 "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"
While true apostles were men chosen by God to reveal the mystery of God to the church by the revelation of Jesus Christ, false apostles also do the same, but that they attempt to reveal the mystery of God by the revelations of men. There is an evil spirit working in them and through them to change the times and the laws, and we know it from their doctrines.
Psalms 18:4 "The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid."
By persistence, they will gradually wear out the saints of the most High through their false doctrines. They will flood the church with their false doctrines producing false converts, and we know that it is in the nature of water to wear out anything that stands in its way. There is no stopping of the erosion. BTW, the word "water" is found 396 times in the King James Bible. The number 396 = 6 x 66 bears the pattern of the number '666'.
Amen
