This article continues from where I have left off at Pharaoh King of Egypt (Part 30), where I have stopped at the connecting verses of Daniel 8:10 and Daniel 8:24, which tells us that the “little horn” shall wax great even to the host of heaven, the angels of God’s people, and shall cast down some of them to the ground and stamp upon them. This is that “little horn” which Daniel 8:23 refers to as “a king of fierce countenance.” The next set of connecting verses tells us:
Daniel 8:11-12 "Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered."
Daniel 8:25 "And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."
Daniel 8:25 is an explanation of Daniel 8:11-12 by Angel Gabriel. The bible tells us in Daniel 8:11 that the “little horn,” a king of fierce countenance, shall magnify himself even to the “prince of host” (Jesus Christ, the “Prince of princes”), and by him “the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” The explanation for this given by Angel Gabriel in Daniel 8:25 is that “through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand… and by peace shall destroy many.” How do we reconcile between the two? It does sounds like “craft” (mark of the beast) will be propagated via “policy,” and by the mark of the beast, the “daily sacrifice” will be taken away, and the “sanctuary” cast down. The words “by peace shall destroy many” speak volume on how the mark of the beast will be implemented.
Referring to the word “policy” in Daniel 8:25, policy is a principle or protocol developed to guide decisions, a settled method by which the government and the affairs of a nation are adminstered under a system of management. It is a deliberate system of guidelines implemented to guide decisions by a body of government on what to do for particular situations, such as a pandemic outbreak, officially agreed upon and to be adopted by governments and business organizations all over the world. Daniel 8:25 tells us that it will be through this framework of global governance that the “little horn” shall cause “craft” (mark of the beast) to prosper in his hand, and by this “craft” the “daily sacrifice” would be taken away, and the place of his “sanctuary” cast down. Compare the two:
“the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” (Daniel 8:11)
“cast down the truth to the ground” (Daniel 8:12)
The part in Daniel 8:12 “cast down the truth to the ground” is an reiteration of Daniel 8:11 “the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” In the place of his sanctuary is “the truth,” and this term is a reference to Jesus Christ and the word of God. The word “sanctuary” bears a connection to:
Psalms 74:3-4 "Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. 4 Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs."
Verse 3 tells us that it was an enemy that hath done wickedly in the “sanctuary,” to cast it down according to Daniel 8:11. This is confirmed by the psalmist in the following verses:
Psalms 74:5-7 "A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees. 6 But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers. 7 They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground."
Previously, I have made a post showing how the temple of God is defiled according to scripture. As such, I won’t be sharing everything I’ve studied in that post, except for the important gist of what scripture says about the temple of God being defiled. I would strongly encourage you to read this post for the detailed scriptures:
Psalms 74:4 tells us that “thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations,” meaning that the enemies are mixed in with God’s people, just like what Jesus tells us in the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares in these verses:
Matthew 13:27-28 "So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?"
Moreover, the psalmist also tells us in the same verse that “they set up their ensigns for signs.” What are ensigns? An ensign is a symbol, a distinctive mark signifying or pointing to the identity of an organisation, society or nation. Examples of ensigns are a badge, flag, signum or patterns on a country’s currency. The purpose of an ensign is to distinguish by mark or ornament the identity of a nation, or the money for different countries, or the people working for different organisations, for example. The Devil is in the business of symbolism, and his kingdom is being externalized to the world using signs and symbols. Symbols are powerful, transcending every language in the world. No matter what language you speak, everyone recognises symbols. The psalmist tells us in Psalms 74:4 that the enemy is within the gate, and the way we identify them is to recognise their ensigns.
Amos 5:26 "But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves."
Acts 7:43 "Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon."
These two verses tell us that the Devil’s ensign is a star, and it is by this star symbol of 6-6-6 that his spiritual kingdom on earth has been externalized to the world throughout history. Of course, the Devil has been trying to achieve something, and we know from Revelation 13:18, that the false prophet will cause the whole world to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, without which no one might buy or sell. The mark of the beast will mark the end of God’s grace for whosoever will receive it in his right hand or in his forehead, Christians included. For defiling the holy temple of God, the penalty will be the second death, and there will be no forgiveness of sin. According to my studies documented in the above article titled “How is the Temple of God Defiled?” it is the “sanctuary” in our body, the dwelling place of God’s name in the temple of our body that they are after. The psalmist tells us in Psalms 74:7 that they will cast down the sanctuary, the dwelling place of God’s name to the ground.
Psalms 68:4 "Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH [Hebrew: יָהּ Yâhh], and rejoice before him." Note: [insertion added]

Connect this to:
“the place of his sanctuary was cast down.” (Daniel 8:11)
“cast down the truth to the ground” (Daniel 8:12)
Hebrews 9:2 "For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary."
The “sanctuary” is the dwelling place of God’s name, and in Daniel 8:11-12 we read that the “little horn” will cast down the dwelling place of God’s name (the truth) to the ground. The sanctuary is where “the truth” is: within the sanctuary is the candlestick, the table and the shewbread. While the shewbread is a picture of Jesus, the “bread of life” according to John 6:48, I have also done a post previously on the golden candlestick:
The golden candlestick is a picture of the word of God, “the truth” according to John 14:6. To cast down the dwelling place of God’s name is to cast down “the truth” to the ground, and “the truth” is God’s name embedded in our DNA, in the genetic codes that God has authored in our body, the temple of God, according to the psalmist in:
Psalms 139:16 "Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."
Daniel 8:11 tells us that “by him the daily sacrifice was taken away,” and the same time the dwelling place of God’s name (sanctuary) would be cast down. The altar is where the daily sacrifice was made, as we read from the verse below:
Exodus 20:24 "¶ An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee."
If we think about our body as the temple of God, as what Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, there would be a place in our body that the “daily sacrifice” would be made. The mitochondria is found in the human cell, and its purpose is to convert chemical energy from food into a form that the cell can use. It is the cell’s power site, transforming energy from food into a form that the cell can employ for necessary metabolic reactions, in a process called “oxidative phosphorylation.”
The mitochondria is also responsible for heat production.
"When thermogenin is inserted into the inner mitochondrial membrane, it accentuates mitochondrial proton leak and dissipates the proton motive force. Since oxidation is no longer coupled to phosphorylation, thermogenin is said to cause uncoupling. In the presence of thermogenin, oxidation and proton pumping continue at high rates but with low rates of ATP synthesis. So Thermogenin enhances mitochondrial proton leak so there would be heat." — How can the leakage of mitochondrial protons generate heat?
When we are cold, we shiver to keep warm, but the body can also generate heat in other ways, one of which is by using a tissue called “brown fat.” During a process called “proton leak,” the mitochondria can generate heat. Brown fat is found at its highest levels in babies, when we are more susceptible to cold, and slowly reduce as we age. If we compare the mitochondria to the “altar of earth” (Exodus 20:24) that was not only used to offer sacrifice unto the LORD the food sources in the form of burnt offerings, but it also produces heat, we find that similarity in both. More importantly, however, the bible tells us that:
Hebrews 13:10-15 "We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. 11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. 14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."
Expounding from this passage of scripture:
We have an altar with us.
The physical altar is for the burning of the bodies of beasts, whose blood would be brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin offering unto God.
Jesus also, meaning that his body is as burnt offerings upon the altar, but his blood would be brought into the sanctuary for sin offering unto God.
The body of Jesus is “without the camp.” Paul tells us that we are the “body of Christ” in 1 Corinthians 12:27. Therefore, we go to the “altar” where Jesus is (written word of God), bearing his reproach.
By him (Jesus) we offer our “daily sacrifice” of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips (written word of God), giving thanks to his name.
Connecting this back to:
Daniel 8:11-12 "Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered."
Notice how the “little horn” is after the “daily sacrifice,” the altar where we offer our sacrifice of praise to God continually, and the “sanctuary,” the dwelling place of God’s name in our body? Recall what the psalmist tells us in Psalms 74:5-6 that the enemy will use axes and hammers as tools to break down the carved works in the temple of God?
Exodus 20:25 "And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it."
Deuteronomy 27:5 "And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them."
These verses tell us that if we even lift up a tool upon the altar of the LORD, we have polluted (defiled) it. That’s what the mark of the beast will do to the altar of the LORD, to break it with “axes and hammers” (Psalms 74:6), to defile it, so that our “daily sacrifice” will become an abomination instead of “fruit of our lips” (Hebrews 13:15) — truth from the word of God, unto the LORD. Instead of the temple of our body bearing the name of God, it will be marked by the “name of the beast,” as in:
Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Daniel 8:11 tells us that “by him the daily sacrifice was taken away.” This connects to what we have studied earlier in:
2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:"
Paul tells us that “only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way,” and then that man of sin, the son of perdition would be revealed. Compare this with Daniel 8:11 which tells us that by “him” (little horn) the daily sacrifice would be taken away, and the place of his sanctuary be cast down, which Daniel 8:12 reveals as “the truth.” This concurs with what we have established in the above article the identity of the “he” in 2 Thessalonians 2:7 as the Spirit of the LORD. The Spirit of the LORD embedded in the “book” that God has authored in the temple of our body is a reference to “the truth” in Daniel 8:12, which shall be cast down to the ground. When the mark of the beast will be implemented, it will be like what the psalmist tells us in Psalms 74:7 “… they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.” The psalmist continues in the next verse:
Psalms 74:8 "They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land."
These words tell us that their goal is all the temples of God in this world. Moreover, they will do it in one fell swoop (“let us destroy them together”), which is what we read in Revelation 13:16-17 that the false prophet will cause all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads. Daniel 8:25 tells us that “through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand… and by peace shall destroy many.” The mark of the beast will be implemented through a framework of global governance, done legally and enforced by the law, so that there will be little or no resistance coming from the general public, which is why that “little horn” by peace shall destroy many. In fact, we already have a taste of that in the COVID19 plandemic. To be continued in Part 32.
Our DNA is actually the “Image of God”
